FBI Police certificate for inland app

Hey guys,

Do I really need to obtain and submit an FBI police certificate at the time I make my inland application for PR to CIC? Or is this something that comes after stage 1 approval?

Background: I'm going to be applying for PR (via the spousal sponsorship class) very soon. Since my partner and I have a baby on the way, I really need to get that OWP via the pilot program as soon as possible. As it is now, the FBI takes 12-14 weeks to issue a police certificate. yikes.

While it's always recommended that you submit a complete application, including PCC and medical, CIC does allow for those to be provided later during the process. Technically, those aren't really needed until you have AIP, as they are part of the stage 2 assessment.


It's yet another mystery why CIC was allowing FBI reports from third party Channelers `briefly' (like from mid-January - early March), because they knew about the delays with the FBI, but...pulled the plug on them soooo quickly.

The wait times are still just as bad (closer to 14 weeks).
