They do reveal whether your fingerprints were accepted over the phone. I specifically asked them if my fingerprints were accepted and they told me that those were. I called their office a few hours later after my CC was charged.

Just to do a double check, I sent them an email asking the same and heard from them the following day that my requested has been successfully completed. They just cannot divulge the result, but surely can tell you if fingerprints were accepted.
Thanks a lot! That makes sense.

Alright, I have finally received the letter! Luckily, that's a couple weeks ahead of the ITA deadline. I will be sleeping well tonight. :D

Here's the timeline --

application delivered (mailed from overseas): 8/22
card charged: 11/28
date on report (PCC): 11/28
mailed out by FBI: 11/30

Total time taken: 3.5 months!

Based on my experience, that appears to be true. I had become a bit apprehensive after I came across comments that suggested the mailed response from the FBI as the only way to definitively know if the prints were accepted. I received a response with just a "processed" without any qualifiers like "successfully". Looks like that counts as a success since I received the result yesterday.

Hi All,

my FBI PCC docs were submitted on Sep 18 and i believe they will be sending PCC report for me and my
spouse in next few days. In the meantime I am going to Canada to start working on a new assignment.
My new address in Canada is not confirmed yet.

So can i update FBI with my colleague's address in Canada? Will they accept it? please let me know.

Many thanks!

Hi guys,

My Spouse has filed seperately. I am not part of the application. I have 2 questions:

1) Do I also need to get a FBI PCC ?

and the more important question,

2) I’ve lived 20 yrs in the States and currently back home with spouse. I was a stock broker on Wall Street and unfortunately got mingled up in a white collar crime. Got no time and voluntarily departed.

Will my conviction have a effect on my wife’s application ? I know there’s a section once you get a ITA and are filing for PR that asks about spouses arrest etc

I also read that it’s descrtionary wether spouses application will be rejected or not due to my conviction and I also read they only usually reject if you are a national threat/terrorist types (which ofcourse I’m not)

Any one with any experience/thoughts if you could please weigh in, thanks

I think they will. Email identity@fbi.gov and check

They were ready to change/update the address for me the second time when I thought that I would never receive the report the first time around (of course it was lying in the post office)

Our applications were delivered to FBI on Sep 5 and CC is charged today.
We just emailed FBI to find out whether the fingerprints were accepted. Will keep you posted.
