My cc got charged a few hours back. FBI received my application on 13 May. Does this mean my fingerprints went thru.

My application was mailed out 6th July and here I am still waiting on 26th July

God I so hate the procedures in USA sometimes

When I spoke to FBI folks they said I can only request another copy to be mailed out on 27th July so I can do nothing but wait

In the mean time, I requested an extension to my application on July 16th (my extension was expiring on 18th July) but I have yet to hear anything from them

Has anybody else faced such a delay from CIC when requesting a 2nd extension? If yes, then what did you do? Just wait longer, I guess?

I've had worse. First, FBI reports for me and my wife did not arrive in time. So, we submitted the application without the PCC with LOE. It took about 3-4 weeks and CIC gave us an extension of 60 days. However, FBI rejected my wife's fingerprints due to low quality and we had to submit a new set of fingerprints. Now, 60-day extension CIC gave us won't be enough and we will have to ask for a second extension. Many people on this forum told us that CIC gives extensions 2nd or 3rd times as long as you have a LOE with proof of why you are not able submit at the time.

Wow that sounds rough.

I already took one extension from CIC and requested a second (which is what I was talking about previously). I have had no communication from CIC since nor has my FBI PCC showed up. I'll give FBI a call today and request another mail out.

No idea what to do regarding the lack of response from CIC though

Good luck to you too!

Since I never heard back from anyone regarding this, I thought I'd share my updates with those facing similar situations

So I finally got a response from CIC and I got 30 days second extension (starting today)

However the response also mentions to not add LOE in MyCIC again and instead to send LoE to CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca if I need another extension again (subject line needs to include application number)

So yeah, if anyone else needs a second (or further) extension, feel free to use the above email ID and mail them your LoE

No I'm outland based out of India so that's where my vo will be (I haven't even reached the vo part of the application yet though)

FINALLY!!!
My results were sen to my Immigration Consultant and the letter was received today. She sent it to CIC by courier so they can add it to my file before sending it to the Canadian Embassy in Mexico...... This was my second time getting my fingerprints done! the first time they were rejected but succeeded the second time around... :D.

Good Luck to everyone!!

The FBI will not help you at all if your prints were rejected. You have to go through the process again from the beginning. It is frustrating but that's the way it works with them. No short cuts.....

Good Luck...
