We received our FBI PCC a few weeks back, but CIC hasn't requested it (and shouldn't, as while it was her country of birth, she hasn't lived there since the age of 17.) but in the event that they do request it later, does it need to be sent via regular mail? Or can it be sent online via CSE or something?

They will send instructions but normally they require the original physical document sent by mail to the visa office processing your application, in any case, wait for it, the PCC for FBI will be valid as long as you dont enter US.

Does CIC really ask for originals to be mailed? I thought it did everything online. Is this generally true of documents other than passport as well?

That is correct. Everything is online. Only at the final stage passport needs to be sent.

My report was dispatched on the 7th of July and I haven't received it yet. My address is within US. I am starting to worry now :( :( :(

Okay guys, since I've been posting here for a very long time, heres my final update.
On July 14, I received my FBI PCC in the mail, after nine and a half months since the process first began. I uploaded it immediately via CSE (CIC had not yet responded to my request for another extension pending me receiving my report that had been mailed out to me in early June).
I guess now I wait.

Aragorn - when was your application mailed out by the FBI?

How long do they take to answer for the extension?

I am asking, because I've sent a LOE to CSE, requesting a date extension, but they haven't replied with an extension, just replied back saying that the information was forwarded to the officer.

Did this happen to anyone else?

yea CIC specifically asked me to mail the FBI PCC to them.

but the adress they gave me is different from the usual 219 Laurier avenue west address.
They told me to mail it to: sent via fedex
CPC-OTTAWA
(Documents request)
365 Laurier avenue west

So I'm kinda worried, anyone else asked to mail theirs to this address??

Just called FBI customer service , they are processing May 5.

Are you sure about this? So you can scan the FBI PCC and send it to CIC via email if they request it?
