Guy to summarize
CIC are aware of the delay from the FBI side, They will give you a first extension that`s for sure.
However, the question remains, anyone got a second extension ?

Hi Guys,

I just got my FBI PCC today...

Was going to upload it to myCIC but I'm facing a little technical problem.

The date of issue in the FBI PCC is jan 14th 2016. but in myCIC the issue year is only till 2015.. can you suggest what I can do here..

Anyone faced a similar issue in 2016..?

I think ......like we asked for extension.........just put any dates and creat one PDF with scanned copy of FBI PCC on page one and LOE on page 2. In LOE explain that the system was not allowing u to put right dates hence u couldn't. All that matters to them is document so upload it as soon as possible. The will check dates from document anyway. In LOE also say thanks for extension in due date
That's my opinion........friends plz provide ur input on this and suggest if there is better option

Hi Aeropostale. FBI had sent the PCC on 4th January and the date of the issue is 14th January? Are you sure?

Interesting issue. I second poster sunil55's take on it. Also, could you post your FBI timeline? What was the CIC deadline? Are you going to make it within the extension they gave?

Hello All,

Yes it is quiet weird when I saw the date on the FBI PCC report. My initial delivery address was to India, but when I read in this forum that it not a good idea; I went ahead and changed the delivery address to a US one a day before my CC was charged.

My time line..


Date my application reached FBI - 16th Sep 2015
Request to change my delivery Address (to US one) - 29th Dec 2015
Date my Credit card was charged - 30th Dec 2015
Date my Application was processed and mailed - 31st Dec 2015
Date my Application Reached US address - 22nd Jan 2016
Date my Application Reached Indian address - if it reaches at all

I had called FBI customer service on the first week of Jan and they told me that my Report has been processed and mailed on 4th Jan 2016 to my Indian address as my change of address request was received too late to make the change. I subsequently e-mailed the following week requesting to confirm when they had mailed the report if they had mail it to Indian address.. They only replied back saying that the report was mailed to the given address on 4th Jan 2016.

I too am surprised that after 2-3 confirmations from them that my report was mailed on 4th Jan; it had a date of 14th Jan 2016 in it. I'm assuming that they might have sent 2 reports one to the Indian address and the other to the US address..

Will update you guys if I receive the PCC to my Indian address as well...

Anyhow I have the FBI PCC (finally ;D) and gonna upload it today as per Sunil's Idea.

My deadline (after extension) to submit is soon approaching and I have given my Washington State address? Any idea how much time will it take for the package to be delivered from West Virginia to Washington State?

Hi Canadarocks,

The USPS claims 3-5 business days within US main land and 7-10 business days to Hawaii and Alaska... so you can calculate from that..

In my case I honestly do not know when this US report was mailed.. My US address is in Washington DC nearly 4hrs drive from the CJIS facility.. if I have to back calculate based on the report date of 14th Jan (assumed they mailed on 15th Jan) it reached my US address on 22nd Jan.. technically 5 business days..

Yes CIC gives you another extension. Myself and couple others have got it.. what I did is raise a CSE with another LOE and a mail from FBI stating that they have not got into processing my request yet. and also uplod the same in my CIC where you have to upload the FBI PCC... They'll get back to you within 2-3 weeks with another extension.

Plus CIC is aware of FBI PCC delays... I've also read that a few have had their submit-by date moving daily in myCIC account.. by 3 weeks

I set a mail to liaison@leo.gov

They write the same thing that the customer service agent says on the phone that a particular date is being opened... use the copy of that mail along with the courier receipt.. and draft your LOE.
