This is really terrible and a nightmare. I suppose the best you can do is to upload the rejection letter and explain what happened. At the same time, submit another set of application (include multiple copies this time). I have exactly the same worry (about fingerprints being rejected), which is why I went ahead and submitted another set of applications earlier this week, just in case.

This is really disappointing to share you all that fingerprints for both me and my wife are rejected. I actually called FBI today and I was told that they were rejected because the prints were heavily inked. I had it taken from a police department (had included only 1 copy for each of us). This is so frustating. :-[ Waited for 4 long months to hear this. The lady on the phone said I had to start all over again. I don't know if I am left with any other option other than to reapply again. ??? Can anyone give me some genuine advice.

Just called the FBI..they are now processing Sept 22nd batch..

Mine is Nov 5th delivered to FBI ofc and CIC deadline for submission is 26th Jan..not sure if I should ask CIC for an extension right away or do it just before 26th.
Any suggestion?

Also, if they are taking 15 weeks plus the delivery time, it can then extend till last week of Feb or 1st week of March. When requesting for an extension, do I have to mention the time I need or CIC does at their own discretion?

Is is possible to get any email from the FBI which can be attached as proof to CIC?

Definitely resubmit. I would also suggest to get a state PCC just in case, cuz most of the states don't even need fingerprints. If nothing else, you can submit the FBI rejection letter, new PCC application, and the state PCC along with an explanation letter that you did all you could by your deadline.

Hi All,

I need some guidance from the experts.

This is the email my attorney received from the immigration when we raised a second CSE.

"Dear Applicant,

This is to confirm the receipt of requested FBI check for your spouse, however in order to continue the processing of your application, it is required that you send us an original FBI check for you, issued in May 2013. A copy that was attached to your application is not sufficient. Only original police certificates are acceptable".

I have sent all the original FBI clearances and documents to CIC. Don't know why they are saying its not original. My attorney is asking me to reapply for FBI clearance even though I have submitted all the originals and knowing it will take 3-4 additional months of processing.

Please advise.

You should always have backup for FBI application , and the kind of ink pad you require is like the one below.

You should always have backup for FBI application , and the kind of ink pad you require is like the one below.

Apart from aru_nj suggested, few have used the below type of ink too to get good prints if we are not getting it done by professional or not able to get the good prints by them. If you have access to scanned prints then you can try (but some are providing bad prints even using the software hence not all are good).

I was told that my report was dispatched on 4th of January. Does this mean that my fingerprints were accepted or is there a possibility that report dispatched means that it could be a report stating my fingerprints were not accepted?
