Thanks. If you can share the link for the lab it would be great. Also i just took from couple of digitally scanned ones (Arizona Livescan Fingerprinting (prints are good) and cwsoa.com (prints not good) ). What i could see is that the machine records in the way the person rolls the finger similar to manual print. So if the person assisting on taking prints is not doing it correctly then it looks bad than the manual prints. This is what i could see in my prints printed from cwsoa while comparing with other digital one and manual one. I was also thinking that the digital one would be perfect but seems its customized again based on the person how he rolls the finger. i was thinking why we dont have a machine which will scan the fingers once and take needed prints but we do not have it for public i guess.

If you know the digital scan name which does good then please share.

Also one other help is that i would like to know is that will cic asks for pcc or visa office?

i asked my local PD and they gave me the location of the Crime LAb for getting fingerprints..i guess you can check with the local PD on phone.
the only plus in my case was since crime lab guys do all the investigation hence they were well versed with how to take very good prints .thats all i can help you with.

Public...they charge you like $10 for 2 finger print cards..

FBI clearance sent in Feb, Med done 4 Nov 2014 3rd line updated in Nov. Still Waiting for fourth line updates.

Here are the timeliness:

Application sent - 26 May
File accepted and transferred to NDVO - 19 Sep
Med request - 1 Nov
Med sent - 4 Nov (3rd line updated ) Indian PCC and Landing fees sent in Dec, Extension applied for FBI clearance and FBI send in Feb 2015.
Passport request - Still awaited.

Hi, How do we apply for extension for pcc from fbi? To local visa office? How long do they generally give extension? Do they give more than one extn? Sorry to ask too many questions but please let me know if you know.

Raise a case specific enquiry online to your local visa office and ask for requested time extension

Hi All,
Here goes my story with FBI PCC
I had a 6 month tiring journey to finally get my PCC yesterday
I applied my FBI PCC on 17th October, I got my CC charged on my PR on 29th, that is my first mistake
After rather tiring journey got my CC charged towards end of December and my original PCC sent in Mid of January to my friend (But as if luck is not on my side, my friend moved to another address, that is my second mistake
I applied for duplicate copy after 3 week wait as mandated by FBI and to my surprise it took them 3 more weeks to send out my duplicate copy and finally received by my friend a week ago.
He sent the courier through USPS to India, thats another mistake , which took its own time, 1 whole weeks to reach me yesterday and I sent it and it finally reached NDVO today morning.
These are my 2 cents to you all
1) Make sure to send your PCC with your PR application(Plan accordingly before.... most PCC's have 6 month expiry) this helps to cut down waiting times and last minute tensions.
2) If you live outside US, find a friend/relative who for sure is planning not to move in next 6 months and always address your mail to him. most apartments offices would not take mails addressed to people who are not registered to their apartment
3) Make sure your friend/relative sends mail through fedex/UPS with highest priority

Can i know more detail on 3 week waiting period as just now sent 2 applications in the last 2 weeks with separate payments? Will it be an issue?

If you do not receive you FBI report even after 3 weeks from the date of dispatch from the FBI office then you can request the FBI office for a duplicate copy ..but this can only be done after 3 weeks time period of dispatch of your FBI PCC ...
