Has anyone here got pcc from California? do they require a special fingerprints card? any help will be appreciated as I'd like to get one as a backup!! thanks

Yes, finger prints are required - http://oag.ca.gov/fingerprints/security
You need to fill this form and then take it to live scan location - http://oag.ca.gov/sites/all/files/agweb/pdfs/fingerprints/forms/bcia_8016RR.pdf?
But, does state PCC work instead of FBI?
I have lived in 3 states and would require all 3. Has anyone been lucky not sending FBI and only sending state PCC's?

Now there is a change in CIC website. Some time back they said they would also accept FBI clearance from approved channelers.
Now the site says they won't accept - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/north-america/united-states.asp

Yes you should sent it immediately as these days the FBI clearance is taking 14-16 weeks time and as per the fingerprints there are two ways of doing it .

1) download the application form FBI CJID website and do your fingerprints on them and sent it to FBI but there would be a risk of fingerprints getting rejected .

2) FBI has approved channellors in india who would take some fee but help you in getting proper fingerprints done and would sent your application .

Personally since you are spending so much on the whole process of immigration you should choose a channellor so that fingerprints come out proper otherwise If FBI rejects the fingerprints it would be again a 14 week cycle which would delay your immigration process .

Google about FBI channellors in a major metro or ur city I am sure you will find them

Hello AMAM, I am not from Mumbai but can go there for fingerprinting.
Do you know if they do fingerprinting for everyone (ppl not from Mumbai) and how do I contact them ?

There is no need to send second one. Even i did mine at mumbai fingerprint bureau near HAJ house. They are very professional, they know how to do that. I have done 3 copies for only 500 Rs. ,If they ask for state clearance too.

I requested for two FBI reports (one at US address and other one at Pakistan address). I mistakenly provided wrong postal code for USA address, and hence I have not received the report. However, I received the other report addressed at Pakistan. I subsequently sent the same report to London Visa Office.

Today, I have received an email from London Visa Office to submit Original FBI Certificate, and copy of certificate is not accepted.

Does FBI send one original and second one copy (in case 2 requests of FBI certificates are made)?

The copy that I have received was on a white paper.

If you provided two separate fee, then FBI should have given you 2 originals.

How much time it took to reach pakistan? Mine was dispatched on 3rd march and i havnt received it yet.

see question # 14. FBI clearly states that they will no longer provide reports on blue security paper due to automation of the process. Everything is printed on white paper.

That's surprising. I was asked by my LVO visa officer to submit a scanned copy of the FBI report by email. And its on white paper because FBI do not print it on blue paper nowadays as they used to. But that paper has a watermark in the background which says FBI Department of Justice.

I am not sure about ppl from outside Mumbai, but you can contact at 022 22620348 - Sindhe.
I took proof of address, Photo Proof, passport and 6 photos with me which are required by them.

I had the exact same document received from FBI. I submitted the document through courier, and yesterday received an email. However, I have replied back that I have already submitted original document as received from FBI. Lets see
