Thank you very much. That was a valuable piece of info that you gave me. So basically if I had the FBI certificate dated prior to July 2nd 2014 (my application was received on 2nd October 2014), the certificate will not be valid. Correct me if I am wrong. Btw +1 for you :)

This is my story:
I spent a year in USA 1999/2000 as an au pair. Since this was 15 years ago it was not mentioned in my travel history (they asked about last 10 years). While sending the application for FSW I've sent only PCCs from my home county. I've sent my fingerprints to FBI when I received PER and they've received it on December 2nd. My visa office is very slow and I think that, folowing this dynamics, I shall receive my report just in time to present it as updateed documents.
My concern is: what if FBI reject my fingerprints (I did go to police station in my city and the forensic officer printed me and said that it is impossible to be rejected)? With all possible extentions calculated, it won't be possible to send new prints and receive the report back. If that happens, can I just not mention my stay in the USA since it is not mentioned in the application, I have a new passport and another last name? Do Canadians perform some kind of cross check with USA or any other authorities regarding this matter?
I am aware of the fact that this could be qualified as misrepresentation and I won't get a visa but the same thing would have happened if I don't obtain that report in requested time.

Hi Guys,
I requested CIC for extension to submit the FBI PCC two weeks ago, however, I haven't got any response from them yet. Deadline to submit the pcc is on Nov 24, and I'm worried if I am in trouble. During the extension request, I attached the screenshot of tracking information to show the proof that I have applied for FBI PCC since I didn't have any other proof. If any of you have received the extension, how long did they take to reply the extension request? Please advise.

OK first of all, I don't expect your VO to request your FBI PCC since your stay was about 15 years ago (i.e. over 10 years)
Second of all, it's always a bad idea to lie to an immigration officer. I don't ever recommend doing that!
Best of luck.

I'm sorry. The deadline is Jan 24th (my bad). I received the PCC request on Nov. 24th. Am I still in trouble?

Absolutely not! CPC Ottawa usually responds within 20 working days (i.e. 4 weeks)
They'll get to your email and respond as they did with me. Good luck!

Well, that's the catch - they are not going to request for it since they don't know that they should, at least not from my application. But, do they check it with USA?
In 1999 I was over 18 so, techinicaly, I am supposed to present this PCC as well.

They will NOT request it neither were you supposed to include it within your last-10-years history form

How did you get the fingerprinting cards in Egypt? Or did you use the FBI cards? I have 2 sets of fingerprints done on standard FBI FD-258 cards I downloaded from their website (just in case the one received by the FBI get rejected for some reason). Could I send those for Ohio State PCC? Is there a fee payment form as well? Do they accept credit cards?

FBI had received my application on 16th Oct. I had called them on 7th Jan and they had not opened my application till then. I called them on 17th and they told me that they were working on my application. I hope that gives you an idea on where they currently stand.....

what do you mean by "working"? opening document? scanning fingers print? this is important for timeline calculation as i have called FBI around 12 Jan and they said they are opening 23 October document but scanning End of Sep fingers print cards.
