Hi frnds..... Somebody plss help me out...... I stayed in US for 5 months and 20 something daysss..... I got my PER last week.... does anyone knw any candidate like me who stayed less than 6 months and was asked to submit pcc from USA... Pls reply

As far as I know...you only need an FBI PCC if you spent 6 or more months in the US or any PCC for that matter only if duration of stay in that country is for 6 mths or more. Were you specifically requested to provide PCC for the US?

Hello !

My file reached FBI office on 22nd October, and keep's on waiting to see my Credit Card charge !!

Any one near around this date and got charged !

Hello Venkat - What was thier reponse to state PCC ? Did they accept your Minnesota PCC or they are still want to get FBI clearance .

No response from NDVO on State PCC. May be they just need FBI PCC. I dont see any signs of CC getting charged.

Hi Sandeep,
Were you in US when you applied for PR or is there a mention of your stay in USA anywhere else in your application? PM me for further details (if required).

I will give you an example of my wife's case with a hope that you can relate with your situation.

My wife started living in US on 24-May-2014 and we applied after she came here in US. She received request for FBI certificate on 31-Oct-2014 even though she had lived for only 5 months and 7 days till that date.

GOOD LUCK!

My PCC request reached FBI on 8th Oct, and credit card was charged on 9th Dec. I just called them to get an update, and they said I should expect to hear back by mid January.

How to apply for PCC from Buffalo? Anyone from Buffalo, Amherst NY ?

My cc got charged and I expect to hear back by mid January. I'm a bit concerned as I got my fingerprints done in Qatar, and I have heard cases where FBI rejects fingerprints for poor quality. See svcanada's post here http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/fsw-2014-applicants-timeline-lets-network-here-t199004.165450.html

If that happens, I will need to submit fresh fingerprints in January, and it will be April by the time I get the FBI PCC - assuming fingerprints are accepted the second time! Has anybody faced fingerprint rejection, and where did you get fingerprinting done?

Follow the instructions here: http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/identity-history-summary-checks/submitting-an-identity-history-summary-request-to-the-fbi
Basically fill out the form, attach the finger prints and payment and mail it in.

For fingerprints contact your local police dept. Please send more than 1 fingerprint cards just in case one of them is rejected.

My intention is not to create panic but this is the email I just received from my consultant:

Any news for the FBI document? I was just checking , and it seems like CIC doesn't really want to extend the time for obtaining the police records, I know we have time just wanted to check?

My VO is Sao Paulo but he referred to CIC, not SPVO. We ordered our report to FBI on 15th Oct and they said we should hear from them in mid January. So far so good, but in case we got bad fingerprints or mail mislay (as we got on our 1st request) there wont be available time to wait for the new report and we will be out of the game after all eforts and money spent. That's frustrating and I dont know what to think.

My wife has just got an american visa and FBI is taking 3 months to give an answer. Sorry guys, just wanted to share this with you.

Good luck you us all!

Hi ,

I have applied for FBI PCC and used Credit card as payment method.

I have used HDFC credit card and in the payment form it asks for credit card number , Expiry date and CVV no etc.

While I make online transactions , payment asks for 3D secure pin.

How does FBI bypass this 3D secure pin validation during the payment?

Do I have to inform the bank to deactivate the 3D secure pin validation temporarily till FBI charges the CC?

Please help me with the issue.

Hi bombardier

You need not worry about the PIN. The machine that FBI has does not require any pin. I have a very secure CC which always asks for a one time password while using it on internet and a personal PIN while using it on POS. But it worked with anything in FBI.

Basically the machines which are used in US do not require PIN and the US based websites do not require one time password.
