Sorry to hear that, airan002. I also fear the same that after such a long wait what if FP gets rejected. I think your best shot is to scan the rejection letter, send it to NDVO. Ask if they accept state PCC - that takes only 2 weeks. If not, they should give you extension for another 3 month. Its not in our hands, so nothing much we can do here.

I was reading posts from last year, one guy got extension 3 times due to repeated rejections and then FBI expedited his report due to inconvenience it caused. Hope it helps.

Dears,

I called FBI Customer care now. They said, my fingerprints rejected due to poor quality. After waiting for 3 months, I got this news. I got extension to submit PCC from NDVO till 21 Dec. It looks like, I need to do all again.

Any suggestion to expediete.

Folks,

I went to local police station in NJ, USA where they use their own FD-258 from for free which is much better quality than one we print online.

Only drawback with this form was the ORI number was already printed with the Local police office info, however the police officer told me that I can just use whiteout to remove their ORI info.

I will send both copies (from Local Police and Library) and along with cover letter and pray for the best.

if this works, then we will be saving money and unnecessary hassle that comes along with it, will keep you guys posted.

Thanks,
-BikBis

@ bikbis You are lucky my friend! I went to my local PD in NJ and paid $45 for them to do the fingerprinting. Moreover, after sending the prints to FBI, they were returned in ~12 weeks due to the fact that the characteristics were low. I went back and had to get another set done.
Total damage till now for FBI PCC: $126 and still not sure if it will work :P

FSW & bikbis - where are you both in NJ? My PD in North NJ took $7 per print for 2 copies. So for me and my wife - I paid $14 on form printed on paper stock, that i printed myself.

I am very sorry to hear about this airan002 :-\. I'm curious how many fingerprints you sent?

For other's, if you have not called up the FBI to ensure your application is OK, please do. Also please send multiple fingerprints.

Dear Friends,

I received FBI report today. here is the time line:

Sent on September 18, 2014
Received on September 22, 2014
CC charge on October 17, 2014
Report received on November 19, 2014

I got the following info from Report:
Search completed on November 11,2014
letter date: November 14, 2014
Mailing date( on the envelop) : November 17, 2014

I hope this helps everyone

Wow!!! ;D That's amazing!!! Just to clarify, this is from the application you sent directly to the FBI, not through Channelers, right? I think so because Channlers would not take so long. On the other hand, the FBI seems to be much slower. At least you give us some hope :D

You need to call up the FBI and find out which applications they are opening right now. I called them a week and a half ago and they were opening applications received on Oct 1. You need to find out if they have progressed beyond that date.

I sent them an email asking for my file / record number
They said " It does take between 4 to 5 weeks for a request to clear our security process before we are able to see the request in our system."
It's been 6 weeks and 3 days for mine! Is that normal! This is really giving me hard times...

I will!
I was just wondering if there's someone with a request beyond Oct. 6 got her/his CC charged over here...
Thanks for the reply, man!

I assume that you mean Police Department in the US. If not, please ignore whatever I have said below.

First, generally the PD or whoever is doing the fingerprints gives you the Fingerprint form or Card. Yes, it is not a simple printout, but something more firm than regular paper. So if you don't have the card, hold off till you get it from the PD.

Next, some employers in the US need the FBI report for employment. In that case you need to put their address for the 'Employer and address'. If you are doing this for immigration, you can leave it blank.

Height, Weight, Eyes, Hair, Race, etc <- you will need to fill out when given the Finger print card. I did fingerprinting twice and they did not check it. However to be safe just ensure it is similar to your ID i.e. your drivers license. A small difference e.g. weight for example should not matter.

Thanks a lot o_o

Hi All,

I'm October 20th applicant for FBI PCC, today I called FBI and I was handled by a rude lady who said she would not bother checking into the system until its 2 months.
