Also can you please let me know the number to call to get an update on my status?

I live in NY area .. Can anyone tell me a place where the chance of rejection of FP is less?

thanks

If you are in the US a Police Department generally should do it. If you really have the time, try to get copies from multiple police departments i.e. from different nearby towns. Some of them have better systems than the others.

first i tried this .. the officer here is so busy .. I waited for two weeks.. no one picked phone to nearby police stations .. i went by myself they gave me someone's phone no who was not even picking .. atlast i got some fingerprinting agency address from the forum ,it is in manhattan .. but now im confused whether i should take one more fingerprints .. thats why im looking for some other place .. :)

Please try getting multiple prints. I got my FBI PCC rejected for bad fingerprinting even though I got them at the county PD

ll14 - I'm just curious if you can drive to a neighboring town? I just walked into the police station. My fingerprinting in both places were not done by an officer, just by a "technician" who was barely able to read.

Ensure you submit more than one fingerprints though.

Hi which state are you from? I am from NJ and my first time finger printing was so easy. Went to a police station, there was a finger print technician who took my prints. I sent it to FBI and received my PCC.

Has this changed now? Why does FBI not accept the fingerprints? by multiple fingerprint copies do you mean multiple applications or just one application but fingerprints from different agency? Does FBI allow to get fingerprints from multiple agency for 1 application?

NJ. The process has not changed. However, the reason for fingerprint rejection was due to lack of characteristics, which apparently is the highest reason for rejection (40%). Guess it was due to the technician not being able to secure proper prints.
