Bad News for me guys

On the afternoon of Tuesday Dec 9, I called the FBI, and they told me that my report had been processed and would be mailed soon. Then, I called them up today afternoon, Friday Dec 12, and my report has still not been mailed :-\

Additionally, I tried to call them up again in the evening at 6:45 PM (note that they are supposed to be open up to 8 PM Eastern). I was trying to get someone else to confirm if my letter had indeed not been mailed, because I could not believe it. However, to my surprise I was only getting the message that they are closed, and was given a prompt to leave a voice message. In the past few months, at least twice before I have called up between 6:30 PM and 8 PM, and I have always got someone on the phone (though I had to wait for about 15 mins), but this time I only got the voice mail.

I personally feel the FBI is short on staff, because many of them may be taking the year-end vacation/sick-days etc. So guys getting their reports till the end of this month - be prepared to wait a few extra days.

to now 13 weeks. When you call them they are saying it is 12 - 14 weeks. Previously they used to say 12 weeks.

But I have seen them dispatching the letter on Saturdays as Johnson has said. Give them a call on Monday and hope for the best.

For Mumbaikers - any idea for below - i called up here for fingerprinting .. they said it is by Govt Of Maharashtra .. charges are nominal i.e. 500/- per sheet

The charged me Rs 3000 / for one print. If you want extra prints , you can negotiate to Rs 500 for extra prints.

What I found strange was they sent me to voicemail though they had an hour and 15 mins before they were supposed to close. I think they are running low on staff, so until the end of this month, their estimates are a bit iffy, Yes, I will call on Monday afternoon to verify if they have mailed this.

I believe up until Friday morning, applications received on Sept 12 were being charged.

Whenever you will call they will tell a date which is 3 months behind . ;D . You call today they will tell you we are currently processing Sep 15th.

LOL, I'm not sure how much longer mine will take
I submitted mine on October 20th, I'm expecting my MR/PCC request anytime this week.
Just wanted to get this done... I really dont want to have to deal with extending my due date with CIC

Hi guys,

I wanted to clarify some things regarding the FBI PCC request.

- Is it mandatory to use the standard fingerprint form (FD-258)?

- If I want to use the live scan option instead of the ink, do I need to place the scanned fingerprints on FD-258 form or can I place them on a separate paper?
If I can put them on a separate sheet, do I need to fill out FD-258 form?

- In instructions, it says "use standard white stock paper". Will the plain A4 paper work?

-Also, do i have to provide the official contact of the fingerprint taking place?
