I have come to realize that FBI Customer Desk people have no idea whats going on with our finger print applications. They are robots out there giving standard replies. The only thing you can extract from them useful is ask "Which date reports are getting out of their building". But then as I think more now, even dates dont matter as such, because lately some applications with a later date got processed while people from earlier dates are still waiting.

I too feel that the FBI Call center guys have no clue. This makes it all the more important for us to share information in this thread. You may have gotten your report, but putting the information in this thread helps others to get a better estimate than what you get from the Call Center. I'm grateful to others who have shared information here.

I don't understand what kind of software they have installed which has increased the processing time instead of reducing . This is really pathetic and kinda mental torture. Any how the only email ID I know is for change of address request "liasison @ leo.gov" for FBI Certificate.

One thing you need to consider is that the new software only started returning results from the beginning of Nov. I think this situation would improve as time goes on.

Also, in the US the last two months people generally take holidays/leave. A week ago I talked to a guy in the FBI call center late in the evening, and he told me he was doing overtime, because other people were on leave. If this is happening in the call center, I am sure it is happening in other parts of the FBI processing these applications. I think once the holidays are over, it may pick up pace.

I just received my report. My credit card was charged on Oct 2nd. The search was completed on 11/11/2014. I received it on Dec 9th. I have a Canadian address. I am happy it came before my deadline.

I have got the PER today with the blessings of Almighty. I am living in North Carolina. I was just wondering as I have come in USA in last August and afterwards I applied my application from here, so should I also need to do the FBI clearance. I have already submitted my Bangladeshi PCC with the application.

If yes, then I think I should file right away. I can see there is a long queue.
Need your advice!

If you have got the PER, please do the FBI PCC. There is a chance it may not be required, but with the time it is taking, and the possibility that your fingerprints may be rejected, I feel you should do it. For me personally, this was the most difficult part of my application. From May when I applied, till early Sept, the estimate was 30 days. Then suddenly it spiked. Had I known this, I would have done this application months earlier.

Yeah...I think total time for me staying here in USA will be way less than 6 months (approximately February 15th, 2015 will be 6 months for me) mid January. Do the Visa office really take this 6 months time in consideration or they just randomly ask for PCC without counting the time line case by case.
Should you guys advice me to apply for the FBI PCC or just hang in.

Need your advice.

i am kind of in the same situation. landed in the US on august and submitted my app shortly after that. just got my PER too. i decided anyway to submit my fingerprints which were received by FBI last Monday (Dec 8 ). If they do ask, at least I already have a head start in processing. If they don't, then at least I have a PCC. Up to you.

Hi guys,

I do not recall if I did sign on the Payment form or not. I chose to pay using CC for easier tracking. Now I am worried if they would return my pcc app or they would ask for re-sending the payment form. The worst thing is that it take 12 weeks for my application to be opened and reviewed, then to be returned due to missing signature in the payment form. I have just sent another application but still anxious. I have done MR and about to send the RPRF, and now waiting for the pcc to submit. Any advice guys...

I just wanted to point out that I called up the FBI today, and they said my report was done. This was a Sept 9th application, so they took exactly 3 months. They have not mailed my report, but would do so in the next few days. I will update this thread when I receive it

Has your credit card been charged or not yet?

Just got of the phone with FBI customer care.
He mentioned they are entering the data for 9th Oct applications.
when I asked him how much time does it take to send the report after entering into the system.
He said to be safe expect 12 weeks from when the application was received.
My application was received on 11th Oct, I doubt they will send me the report in next 4 weeks

Hi All,

I just called the CS of FBI and they told me that they started processing for the Sep'11th applications. Mine was received on Sep'15th and they asked me to call back mid next week. So looks like its now more than 13+ weeks to get processed.
