Just called FBI today. They have mailed the report on 23rd Jan so it shouldn't be too long to get it delivered to Canada !! My application reached them 30th Nov and credit card was charged on 11th Jan,17.

One of the person on FBI immitracker reported that he has received an email from the FBI regarding mailing out of his results. Not sure whether this is something new as I have not received any emails.

Can't you request CIC more time instead to submit PCC of declining ITA? I have heard that they give two 60 day extensions.
Yes, I did that yesterday. Submitted the eAPR with a Low asking for 60 days extension.

Guys, whoever sent multiple copies for finger prints.. What multiple copy means ? Is it taking finger prints couple of times or printing out the once rolled impressions several times?

Also, has anyone done fingerprints at UPS store in US?

I think FBI should start an express processing and express delivery of PCC at a somewhat higher fee. 2-3 months time is just ridiculous.

We in UK, went to police station and had only 1 set of fingerprints done... an officer said one set should be enough because it was very clear n he helped to get the best fingerprints... it took 2 months for the FBI report came to us after they received...

It is actually taking fingerprints couple of times on different sheets... no photocopy accepted...

Hi Ivory,

I am in London currently. could you help me with the process for FBI PCC/fingeprints? Where in London can I get it done? and which post/courier should I use?

Thanks in advance

Hi Brijesh,

You can give a call to ur nearest police station n ask them if they provide the service (fingerprints), if yes then u can make an appointment...or u can search google if u can make appointment online...

You can get couple of printouts from FBI website... get extra just in case, fill it before u go there...

In our case, it wasn't showing online that they do fingerprints, so we called to know if they do it, then made an appointment... n they also had that FBI form...

Hope this helps!
Cheers!

Thank you so much Ivory. that definitely solves my problem.

just one more thing.. I guess it takes around 10-12 weeks to get the PCC ..Did u also give LOE with other proofs to explain your situation?

Who all got it in 4 weeks? Did they apply for and got the PCC recently?

I have a question guys...

When I sent my fingerprints to FBI for PCC, I was told to go the following way.

1) Went to the forensic lab in my city, where they took money and gave me 2 sets of the fingerprinting cards/papers
2) Took this and went to local police station where they took my finger prints on those cards/papers.
3) Went back to the forensic lab where a finger print expert checked these cards and signed them(he took money for this too) and then I was given one copy to send to FBI and another one they kept for their records. I was told to do a color copy of the one I was given to send to FBI and keep for future reference.

Inspite of all this my fingerprints were rejected by FBI. So I am wondering....step 1 & 3 below are mandatory? Everyone does it the same way Or I can just get my fingerprints done on those cards and send them directly to FBI?

Thanks.

Wow. 1 and 3 are totally not necessary. You can print the FD-258 on a standard white card stock. Go to the police station to obtain your prints. Have them do your prints twice or thrice. Then off you go to send it to FBI directly, of course with the application form and credit card payment form. I sent 4 sets of prints to be sure! :D Got mine after 10-11weeks. I heard you can get them now in less than two months.

WOW indeed! haha...thank god I asked this question out here before going through the same process again the next time I sent my fingerprints to FBI. Thanks buddy.

Wow. What a way to make money. Good luck on your next appointment. Don't go to the same place to obtain your prints again. Clearly they did not do a good job.

Thanks.

I will still looking for a place in my city who can do digital finger scanning for me. No luck so far.
