Dear Friends, I am in very frustrating situation and asking for your guidance. I am from Bangladesh. My CRS score is 469 (it was 474 till august :(). I have received ITA twice last year but could not submit documents because my wife's FBI pcc request was reject due to "poor fingerprint" quality. We have tried another time recently and unfortunately the result remained same. It seems her finger has very weak ridges. In the meantime she managed to get Study permit from Canada using the state clearance instead of FBI.

She is in Canada now and recently tried for FBI pcc for 3rd time. However, this time she contacted an Ottawa based company named "Reliability Screening" (http://reliabilityscreening.ca/international/ ) and the company took her digital fingerprint. Within 24 hours she got soft copy her FBI PCC!!!!!!!! They took CAD 200 for the service.

Now my question is how it is possible to get result like this???? My wife is not even american citizen then how can a third party can process so fast? Is it a scam???????????????? Should I use it while submitting the doc with a LOE explaining how I get this or just submit it without saying anything? or do NOT use it at all??????

I am soooo confused! Please help. :'( :'( :'(

It is possible, if this 3rd Party is a FBI Approved Channeler according to Canada Immigration Office. I mean there are services in India too which do it in 8 days instead of the thirteen weeks. I understand that Approved Channeler only do this service for Permanent Residents or Citizens of USA, but sometimes there are channelers who do it for other nationalities too. So, check if this guy is a Approved Channeler.

Can you also provide the details of this 3rd Party for people ?

We contacted Reliability Screening Solutions Inc. http://reliabilityscreening.ca/international/
1025 Richmond Road, Suite 107
Ottawa ON K2B 8G8
Canada

They said, they have done the process through TRP Associations, LLC dba ID Solutions
www.trpassociates.net which is in the FBI approved channelers list https://www.fbi.gov/services/cjis/compact-council/list-of-approved-channelers.

However, we are trying to verify that. We will call FBI and TRP both to make sure.

First check whether CIC accepts this FBI report provided through a channeler for a non US citizen or permanent resident? I am sure CIC will not accept this report.

It doesn't matter whether the 3rd party is an approved channeler. CIC will not accept that report.

@jairichi: Can you please let me know how do you know for sure? please let me know where it has been mentioned that FBI pcc through channelers will not be accepted? only thing i can see from CIC website is "Please note that FBI-approved channeler service is only available to U.S. citizens and permanent residents." link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/north-america/united-states.asp

So, if I get my FBI pcc from FBI approved channeler then why dont they accept it?

CIC knows that anyone other than US citizen or PR holder cannot go through channeler as it is not the correct process. So any report obtained through that process is not a valid one (with the understanding that it was obtained illegally). If it is so easy to obtain like that (through channeler) why do you think everyone (99%) of applicants here are going directly through FBI and wait those 12 to 14 weeks and not take the short cut through a channeler?

Please dont misunderstand me. I an not saying it will work. I am just looking for answers. I understand your point that it is not supposed to be like this. In fact I expected the same since I know the process very well. I have my FBI pcc last yr march. Applied for my wife twice after that but rejected due to poor quality of fingerprint. The current pcc is about my wife who is in Canada now. We were looking for digital fingerprint since last 2 paper print did not work. Saw the company name online and found their office in Ottawa, Canada.

Two reason I posted it here: 1) to know if anyone has seen/heard this. Specially from north america. Is this a new process and now FBI allowing non-US citizen??!! If it is not then I just want to claim back CAD 200 from the company. 2) If it is not fake will CIC still accept it or not.

Right now I am trying to contact FBI and TRP (approved channeler) to verify authenticity of the report.

Can you tell me how I contact CIC about this? call or email? any specific number?

If it works then it will help every non US citizen applicant like me. If NOT then it will be a lesson for everyone to avoid those companies.

I understand you perfectly. You need to see whether your spouse can use live scan to take her fingerprints electronically and get it printed on fingerprint card for FBI and send it directly to them to get PCC. FBI and approved channeler will confirm authenticity of report but the question is whether CIC accepts this report? I have no contact info of CIC.

Hi,
I would like to know if anyone has done fingerprint himself rather than going to police or fingerprint expert. If so then please help me on following points:
1-did you print finger on A4 size paper
2-what kind of ink pad you have used
3-how many copies/set you have sent to FBI
4-did you leave upper left section of form 285 blank (who took finger print etc)

Any tip to perform this activity by own as there is no fingerprint expert or police fingerprint services available near by my place. I am out of USA so seems difficult to get it done soon.

Hello everyone,

I got my finger prints done from the local law enforcement agency/ police station. Process was easy, 10 $ for 3 sets of finger prints on card papers, so no chance of rejection.
I'd highly recommend if anyone is in the U.S and in need of getting and FBI PCC, should go to local police department.

I have a quick questions, if any one could please answer.

I've lived in the U.S on a visit visa (B1B2 visa) for 5 months and 15 days last year, and I am in the U.S and planning on staying for 4 months.

Considering, I am about to enter my application in the FSW EE pool in a few days(after getting my IELTS result), what should be the ideal time for me to apply for FBI PCC?

Also, Since I lived here for less than 6 months for two consecutive years, and I still have 2 months before I exit, should I apply for FBI PCC right now?

Hi All,

I am in the process of submitting my application for the US PCC. Just have one question:

- In the application form, there is Home Address and Mail results to Address: I am applying from India so Is it mandatory for us to put the US address in Mail results to address or they will send it to the Indian address as well?

Experts please help.

Regards,
P

They will send it to any address in this world. You can use your Indian address if you want.
