I think I ended up paying Rs. 4500 in the end.

I just checked the receipt. I paid INR 1720/- approx. for gettingthe fingerprints from Truthlabs, Hyderabad.

I can only speak from experience and speculation rooted in that experience.

My application was submitted on March 4; my FBI PCC was submitted on July 14 and only added to my file on July 27. I received my PPR on September 2, which is 37 days after that.
My experience would tell me that most of my case had been processed beforehand, and the VO was just waiting on the FBI PCC to finish work on it. Either that, or I literally had the easiest case in the world to process and accept lol.

At last, I received my FBI PCC on the 3rd of Sept.

When I called FBI customer service line, I was informed that the PCC has been mailed out to my US address on the 1st of Sept.

It reached me in two days.

I sent a CSE on July 14, and received a reply on July 27 saying that the documents I had sent had been added to my file.

PPR: Sep 2

What is RPRF and PPR? Is that the next stage after I submit my FBI PCC?

I have a query regarding my specific case - can you help me with it?

We provided a friend's address based out of US to post our FBI PCC (me & my wife's). They received it today Now, should I require a scanned copy of this PCC or the originals will be required while applying post ITA? They would be coming down to India next year so might get it along, so can I just keep the scanned copy till such time and apply based on it? Do you have any information regarding the same - please let me know, it's a little urgent. Thanks

"A search of the fingerprints provided by this individual has revealed no prior arrest data at the FBI. This does not preclude further criminal history at the state or local level"

The last/second line disturbed me. Is it the usual reply from them? or not?

Finally I got the FBI PCC in mail. Here is my timeline.

Application delivered via Fedex to CJIS address in West Virginia on July 7th.
CC charged Aug 29th.
Results mailed out to Quebec,Canada - Sept 12th.
Results received in Quebec,Canada - Sept 19th.

Finally an end to this long FBI saga.
Let me know if anyone needs help in the full process, if you are applying from US and is not a GC or citizen.
I can explain it. Or see some of my previous posts.

2. Does CIC need the hard copy or scan will do?
3. If they need hard copies , does CIC need the sealed envelope sent by FBI or if the record is opened it will be fine

PPR is the conclusion of the application- it is when CIC requests your passport to affix your visa to it. RPRF is a fee that must be paid before your application finishes processing (but you may have paid it upfront, because applicants get the option to do that).

You need to obtain in for yourself, Scan it and upload in the application.
Hard copy remains with you.
