Hi to all if someone can help, my fbi report was mailed on 7th may and its still not delivered to me in mumbai(india). What should be done
It takes anywhere from 10 to 20 days to reach Indian address. You can request a duplicate only after 30 days from the date of dispatch. As Aragorn suggested call FBI to confirm the address to which your mail was sent.

Hi,

Did anyone here face a situation to submit FBI PCC after Medical's to CIC? If so, how did you manage the situation as it takes 15 week's to process the summary check by FBI? Thoughts and feedback please.

I'm confused about the question- are you asking about submitting the FBI PCC to CIC after the eAPR has already been submitted? Or are you asking just about a general situation where you need the FBI PCC, but you can't get it on time because the ITA deadline is 60 days, and the FBI PCC can take 12-15 weeks to be processed?

In both situations, the best bet is to request an FBI PCC as soon as you get the ITA, and then complete your CIC application and submit it with a letter of explanation in lieu of the FBI PCC explaining how you tried your best to get the PCC on time, but can't, owing to FBI's processing times. Attach any proof, such as receipt of your sending the request, as well as any tracking information, to the letter, too. This should get you a 60 day extension. If that is still not enough, you can request a second, longer extension from CIC when the time comes, too.

I'm in that situation, I got the medical request back in late February, did the medical lateMarch, and then they requested FBI PCC early April.

Did you ask for time extension? Or how did you resolve the situation?

I just mailed them today requesting for an extension. Let's see how they reply.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I actually applied in FSW 2014, not for EE.

Got my med request this May, 2016. After the medical examination, they have requested for my wife's FBI PCC, which I submitted last year in May, 2015. But they have asked for an updated one. So I have applied for the updated one on 13th May, 2016, meanwhile requested CIC for a time extension for 20 weeks. Let's see how it goes.

Ah- well the good news is, CIC is very understanding of the delays caused by the FBI, so they should be able to give you an extension wthout there being many problems :)

How exactly do you request extension from CIC? Email before expiry date or Letter of Explanation?

In the case of Express Entry, we upload a letter of explanation requesting an extension with proof of our attempts to secure the document in question in the field where we were supposed to upload said documents.
In the case of a pre-EE application, I imagine one mails the letter of explanation+proof in pre-deadline to request an extension.

I received an ITA, but it looks like it will expire before I receive FBI PCC.

I will submit the application with a letter of explanation (including proof that I sent fingerprints to FBI). Are we supposed to also include all other attachments along with this letter of explanation?

Alright, in your case, just upload the letter of explanation, alongside proof that you sent in your request early (maybe the receipt from FedEx/DHL/whatever other carrier you used), tracking information, and any other corroborative proof (such as any emails exchanged with the FBI regarding your request), into one file and upload that. That should give you your extension.

I emailed CIC right after I sent the fbi pcc with fedex explaing the fbi's long processing time.I attached a copy of everything in the email(tracking number, scanned copies of the fingerprints, PCC form) and I got a response from the agent saying if it's getting close to the deadline and I have not received the PCC I should apply for an extension.

Hi All,

I had uploaded an LoE (on 05/15) requesting for a second extension to upload the FBI-PCC,as it had been mailed out by FBI,but not received. I haven't received any confirmation of the extension until now(05/27)

I had also submitted a rework request to FBI on 05/13,which was processed and mailed out on the same day and I
received the 'summary request' (FBI-PCC) today(05/27).

Please advice on how can I now proceed to provide CIC with the scanned copy of the FBI-PCC?
The 'Upload' option seems to have been disabled now,and it says 'Document provided',which was my LoE
with the supporting documentation.

Thanks,
RP
