Has anyone uploaded an LOE asking for a second extension for their FBI PCC to their EE profile in myCIC? I'm just wondering how you filled in the fields asking for the document number and issue and expiry dates?

I just put in whatever was available (in my case, my wife's prints had been rejected so I used the FBI's number they issued in that rejection notice). For dates, I used last available for issue date (I believe December 30, 2015) and expiration as a year later. I have yet to hear from CIC about the request so I can't guarantee this will work. I did that and got extension. I uploaded email response from FBI in which they said they were processing my application plus I uploaded the courier receipt of FBI and wrote an LOE in which I asked for about 15 days extension. Those areas like document number and dates etc I put 000000 and any random dates. Those don't matter. They sent a letter on MYCIC and created new upload button. Hope that helps. Good luck.

Thanks so much guys! That does help a lot. I uploaded my LOE and emails with the FBI saying I have to start the 4 months over again, I also sent a CSE and an email... thought it would be good to cover all my bases but now im kind of hoping I didnt over do it haha :-X

Here is my timeline -

Application Received by FBI - Dec 7, 2015
Results Mailed - Mar 21, 2016
Received on my Canada Address - Mar 30, 2016

Question - The last day for submission given by CIC on my Express Entry profile was Feb 29, 2016. Due to the delay in processing by FBI, I submitted LOE requesting for an extension and haven't received any reply back from CIC yet.
Could you pleas guide me how can I submit my FBI PCC now?

Actually i want to know my results whether fingerprint has accepted or not? Is there any way to know before i get report at home as it will take lots of time then please let me know.

CC charged on March 23, 2016
package received March 29, 2016 on USA address.

We can call them to FBI Customer Care and get the details on your fingerprints status.
They will only be able to tell us if our application has been opened.

Called FBI now. They are processing application received on 30th Dec 2015. My application is received and they have started working on it 7 hours ago. I have sent address change form earlier this week (changing delivery to US address). Address change is also updated. They asked me to call back on Tuesday to get status on processing. Hope everything goes fine and I get it before 12th April (deadline) in US address.

Just posting my timeline here for everyone's benefit

11/02/2015 Applications sent by USPS (2 applications, self and spouse)
11/04/2015 Applications delivered (assumed date)
03/01/2016 Both applications processed and mailed through USPS First Class mail (standard mailing practice)
03/04/2016 Both IHSC's received

Some additional info.
- My spouse's IHSC was completed on 2/27/2016 and mine on 2/28/2016 even though both applications were received on the same date.
- I had applied for the IHSC while still residing in the US but I know as per the projected delivery timelines of 13-15 weeks, I would not be in the US to receive the documents hence I had given a friends address for delivery. It was sent without any issues. (Just sharing this bit of information if anyone is worried about have to the leave the US and wondering how their IHSC will be delivered)

Credit card charged: 3/23/2016
Search completed: 3/24/2016
PC mailed from FBI: 3/27/2016
FBI PC received in Toronto, Ontario: 4/4/2016

It was almost 4 months in total. But I do see FBI PC processing has been a bit faster recently. Good luck to everyone who is still waiting.

They do assess other parts of the application, yes. Generally, people have been known to get PPRs within a couple of weeks of submitting a late PCC- which wouldn't be the case if the rest of the application had not been processed.
