FBI PCC - Validity

I have received my FBI PCC in July 2018. With the mixed answers elsewhere, I would like to know if the validity is for 3 or 6 months?
I am still in the states and haven't travel anywhere since the issue of the PCC.

i believe it is 6 months for fbi pcc. for place of residence CIC should accept pcc not more than 6 months old. check the pcc documentation in express entry on cic website
