Hi guys,
It's been about 10 weeks since I sent my fingerprint card to the FBI. I understand that they can take up to 16 weeks to process requests, so I am not worried on that front- however, my credit card has also not been charged yet.
Is this normal, and should I be worried? I ask because this is the last component of my application that I do not have still, and I would rather be assured that I would be able to submit it within the extension deadline.
Can someone who has applied to the FBI for a PCC confirm how long it takes them to charge your card?

When did you submit your PR app?
I have not submitted it yet- I am planning on doing it some time soon, however, as all my other documents are in order.
I sent my FBI Fingerprint Card in on November 7, three days after I received my PNP from Ontario.

Credit Card gets charged when they open your mail. My credit card was charged about 7-10 days before I got my PCC (at US address). You can give FBI a call, and they will give the date of applications that are opened today and the date of application that are processed today. Thanks.

They were opening applications received Sep 30/Oct 1 as of last Thursday (and were closed Friday), so I'd budget another month or so until they get to yours.
Hang in there!

Oh the infamous FBI PC causes so much angst among applicants. People can also visit this thread that is dedicated to the latest progress regarding this document:
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/fbi-pcc-t247817.3495.html

There is no reason the processing should take this long (now at 15 weeks or more) other than a sheer lack of will on the part of FBI to improve the efficiency of the process. CIC also seems to be at fault here. Canadian authorities can also instantly check a FBI database regarding offences committed in the US. So there must something that Canada can do to expedite this process, one way or another.
