FBI Identity History Summary current unavailable due to Covid-19

Hi guys,

I received my ITA in early Mar’20. Because I lived in the US for a few years, I need to provide IRCC with my criminal record report from the FBI. I submitted my finger print to FBI last week. However there was no update of status until now. I just wrote an email to FBI and they replied and explained “We apologize for the inconvenience, however, this service is not currently available due to the COVID-19 virus”.

Anyone else facing the same issue? What should I do in this case. Much appreciate your advice.

You have time until early-May 2020 to keep pursuing this. But if the situation does not change by that time, write a letter of explanation describing all the efforts you made to obtain the report, attach copies of the emails you exchanged with the FBI and explicitly state that you shall submit the report immediately on receiving it from the FBI.
These are extenuating and unprecedented circumstances, and I believe IRCC will take them into account.

You have time until early-May 2020 to keep pursuing this.
