FBI Fingerprints Cover Letter

So I've been trying to get the cover letter that is provided on the FBI website to load and their link is broken. Anyone know where I may find a usable one?

So I know I am replying to an old post.... but the link provided no longer works and I need to download an FBI Cover Letter for fingerprints. I can't find it anywhere on the FBI website!

I also have another question... my husband is applying for Canadian permanent resident status. We got the fingerprinting done on the card downloaded from the FBI website.

The "How to obtain a police certificate - United States" page on the CIC website states that we need a cover letter to send along with the fingerprints (although as I said I cant find that cover letter on the FBI website). But the FBI website states that in order to request a record check/police certificate you must also fill out an application. Why doesn't the CIC website mention this application? Is it necessary? I don't want to leave anything out or screw this up because it takes up to 18 weeks to get the police certificate!

I don't see a cover letter requested or mentioned. But I'm NOTORIOUSLY dumb about all things PR application related.

No need of cover letter. I just mailed the application with fingerprint card and $18.00 money order. In 4 weeks i got the response.

Excellent! So don't bother with the cover letter that apparently doesn't exist. They should change that on the CIC website, it confused me, but then again it doesn't take much. Thanks for your help... hope ours comes in 4 weeks too!
