FBI Finger prints in USA police station.

Hi to all,
I sent finger print form today to FBI division as mentioned address by my lawyer.
i want to know that I sent:
$18 for me and for spouse $18 fees.
1 cover letter for me. 1 for my spouse (total 2 cover letters)
1 finger print form for me.
1 finger print form for my spouse.

1 finger print form for each applicant is fine, and how much time it will take to get back from FBI office and how to contact them that FBI clearance it will ready or not.

Takes anywhere from 2-3 months. If you paid by money order or certified check it goes faster (from past experiences of members of the forum).

Did you send it to your local police station? I mean which State are you from? I used to live in AZ uptil last year, so would I have to send the forms to the local area Police station? or the National FBI office? or both? Please help.

I went my local town california state police station for finger prints only on the finger print card (standard finger print card FD 258).
I sent following documents to FBI CJIS Division.
1) Passport copy of my and spouse
2) Finger print cards original one.
3) cover letters
4) Money orders (for 1 applicant $18 and same for spouse total of $36 but seperated).
send all docs using priority mail ( I used it delivery within 3days mail services).
send to :
FBI CJIS Division – Record Request
1000 Custer Hollow Road
Clarksburg, West Virginia 26306

but I am no longer in US. I am in Kuwait now. SO would I go to the local police station in Kuwait and get my fingerprints and then send this along with the pp copy, cover letter and fee to the above mentioned address?? Did I get it right??

I dont know about from outside USA police station finger prints are valid, but there are some finger print experts to do the same job for FBI Finger print. means you have to ask that is valid for getting FBI clearance report using the kuwait police station finger print? even you can ask nearest USA consulate or embassy, I think you have to send by consulate or embassy.

@rink FBI send us some reciept that they get our cards and they are process on it. Ohh I wrote my date requiered on the cover and on cover letter, and reason canada immigration.

You can download the Fingerprint card from the FBI website and take a print. Get your fingerprints from the local police station and then send it to the FBI with the necessary documents on the address that Himanshu mentioned.
