Thank you for your answer.
I assume you are not a US citizen or PR.

Honestly, I trust forums like this more than lawyers. In forums like this you can share things, read other's experiences, become knowledgeable and decide. Lawyers always tell you they know everything and they are the best. Because they just want the money.
I learn a lot from the comments in these forums. But most often, I don't even get a reply. I havve to send private messages. Honestly, I didn't expect to receive any replies here!
Thank you anyway.
I was just making a joke, as you have to have some patience when you are asking questions on forums. Sometimes these forums move fast. Don't take it personally. I think people here have been great at answering questions.

For the record, my husband is a US citizen and a PR, and he used a channeler, but that was apparently before they changed the rules. BUT, that makes NO difference as NOONE can use a channeler any more. CIC will know as the papers are different now.

I trust the forums more than lawyers too when it comes to immigration. Many scammed out there.

I didn't they were accepting channeler reports at all anymore so no point in getting one. We sent in 6 sheets of finger prints because we didn't want to take the chance.

I am the main applicant in our application. I am in canada so I didn't have any problem.

But my husband lives in the states and he needed FBI check. He got his police checks from the state and one from channeller and I added an explanation letter with the scan of all the documents sent to FBI. I asked them to give us some time as it takes between 11 to 13 weeks. And we will receive it in mid-October.
Yesterday was the last day of the 60 days, and I submitted my application. We will probably receive his FBI in mid october (fingers crossed) and if they haven't already rejected us by then, I will send them the FBI checks.

I have no idea if they give us more time or not. I did whatever I could and I am very worried now.

In my letter I just simply told that we didn't know CIC has changed its rules regarding FBI checks trough channellers and we submitted one for my husband right away. But it takes some time which will be around mid october. and then I simply added I will be really grateful if you give us some more time and I will send it to you. I didn't beg for time. But I simply asked them to give us some time.

Have anyone been in the same situation to ask them for some time for FBI check? Should I have been a bit more beggy (is that even a word)??
I am so desperate. I lost 5 points for my birthday already and although we are still above 450 , it is much lower now. We may not even get another ITA at all.

Can I create another profile now in xase I loose this one?

So we did the same thing, didn't know they changed the rules and we sent in our application for PR in April and they only started looking at the part for the sponsee in August so 4 months before they will even need the FBI report. We sent in for the FBI report in June got them in Sept sent them in a week later because I was out of the country and they never got the chance to ask me for it so I'd say as long as you get the FBI check into them as soon as possible you will be fine, just make sure you forward it to the right office that is processing your case and attach a letter with your identification number. I stressed so much about it to0 but now that it is done I can tell you I worried too much, worst comes to worst they ask you for it and you tell them you haven't got it yet and they give you an extension. As long as you're polite and explain the situation I am sure they will understand but I doubt it will even get to that point just get the FBI check ASAP and you should be fine.

Hi, do we know if the experiences laid out in here are relevant again with the re-approved use of channelers, re: tamper-proof paper, channelers that send mailed copies, etc? Does the FBI continue to not issue police certs on tamper-proof paper? (To my mind this means that getting a cert directly from the FBI is pointless and therefore you HAVE to go through a channeler?)

I know this is old, but I'm not finding any newer threads on here that are nearly as comprehensive as this one is.
