FastTrack Citizenship Process?? (grant of citizenship) urgently

Pre-Assessed..
Having completed 3 years, I applied for citizenship in early March 2014. I am TESL qualified English Instructor and currently teaching in a local collegiate. However, the net salary I get after taxes is not sufficient for my family's needs. Therefore, I started applying for ESL jobs in Middle East, KSA, China, Korea and so on. Looking at my resume, qualifications and professional experience, I have been interviewed (on Skype) several times, nonetheless, they cannot proceed due to visa restrictions. (Visa is issued to people having US, Canadian, GB, Australian etc. passports).

Many universities and colleges are willing to offer me jobs but without CANADIAN PASSPORT, it's next to impossible, according to them.

According to CIC web site:
There must be some emergency that requires you to become a citizen quickly.

Examples of when we may process an application for citizenship urgently:
•You can't apply for a job or could lose your job because you are not a Canadian citizen.
•You cannot go to a Canadian school, college or university because you are not a Canadian citizen.
•You need to travel because of death or serious illness in the family and cannot get a passport in your current nationality.
•You received a decision on a previous application for citizenship that you successfully appealed to the Federal Court.

My question is:

Am I eligible to send cic a request to expedite on my case on URGENT BASIS?

What could/should be my standpoint to deal with my case urgently?

Plz. advise or share your experience!!!!
Looking forward!!

My opinion is that the fast track citizenship process will be denied to your case and in addition cic can refuse or delay your application with RQ and JH because you intend to leave the country.

I think wait till you get your passport. Since you waited so long for citizenship, another few months are not that great deal. Though your intention is good to take a job overseas as you are underpaid in your current job, but CIC will think otherwise. They will think what benefit CIC will have to give you fast track passport while you will use your skill in overseas with so called "Passport Convenience".

Also I would suggest you when you will be called for interview and if CIC officer asks about your future plan in Canada, you should not disclose your overseas job intention issue which may put you in trouble (RQ, CJ etc).

Many people like you have the plan to earn more from overseas specially from middle eastern countries as they paid quite high salary for US, Canada passport holders..

In your situation, I would not ask them to fast track. Your intention is to get a Canadian passport so you can take a job outside Canada. Immigration would not approve of that purpose and may decide that they should put your application at the bottom of the pile and give you an RQ.

A question please, Do CIC usually choose people who process fast or delaying them?, shouldn't the applications go in Queue, first got RQ served first? , my ATIP says priority: Regular , do they change that according to circumstances? or how it works?.

Thanks

As you see by the link in the original post, there are certain circumstances that might warrant fast processing.

As for RQ = slow processing, they seem to use that on random basis as well as for people who they suspect have not really met the 1095 day requirement. Opinions may vary on what may cause someone to get an RQ but having had many absences could be a red flag as well as having left Canada for long term right after applying. Immigration does not particularly like it when people get citizenship and then leave. There are currently no rules against it though.

This is why the C-24 Citizenship Bill has an "intent to reside" clause in it. This will potentially permit citizenship applicants to be refused if they aren't able to make that declaration of intent. A number of other countries do the same, including the UK.

Based on the reasons you have provided, the only fast track you will get will be the track to RQ.

I wonder why this is. Visa-exempt doesn't mean you can work in those countries. You still need a work visa like anyone. I wonder if they discriminate based on those countries because they are from official English speaking countries. Anyway, if you have the skills, that should just be it.

OP is an English teacher. OP needs a Canadian passport to be able to claim being a "native" English speaker which I assume is a condition for getting the work permit.

The logic of those countries are flawed. Having a Canadian passport doesn't mean anything in regards to English language skills. You can be a new citizen with minimal English or grew up in Quebec and only know French. The OP's education and work history is what is more important.

if you knew what kind of teachers they hire, you would be surprised at the hiring logic. i have known students who skipped a year of undergraduate studies to teach english to working professionals in certain countries and get paid handsomely for it. all they cared what where the person came from, and nothing to do with the qualification.

yeah, I know. I know some people who went to teach English in asia. They have no English language background (and some of them even have really bad spelling and grammar) but they get a job. I also know they prefer "white" looking instructors for "authenticity". My sister was born in the US and has a English major degree and because she is actually of asian decent, she initially had a bit of a hard time getting a good job to teach english in asia. In korea, there was a time when they explicitly asked for Americans because they wanted teachers with an American accent. There was a photo that went viral for a job description for and English teachers with a note: "No Canadians Please" because apparently Canadians were applying anyway because the Canadian English accent can be quite similar.

Certain countries in Asia also apply quotas that restrict the hiring of particular nationalities. Once the quota is met, citizens of that country do not qualify for any further visas.
