Can any one clarify how many points do we get for 4 years B.E (Mechanical Engineering) program; 112 or 126 ?
as mechanical engineers need license for practicing in Canada; so, can we consider it equal to 126 points as stated in the questionaire .?

I think you are confusing a "license to practice degree" with the fact engineers need to be licensed by a licensing body.

Licence to practice degree refers to things like dentistry, doctors etc.

If your ECA comes back as a Canadian equivalent of masters then you can select that option, or if it comes back as bachelors then choose that.

Guys, I have a question about the part in EE exam where it asks you for 'continous' skill set. What if I have shifted to many different companies for the same job skill set? For example:

8 months (company 1) - noc code ABC
14 months (company 2) - (no noc code)
4 months (company 3) - noc code XYZ
14 months (company 4) - noc code XYZ
8 months (company 5) -noc code XYZ
24 months (company 6) - (no noc code)
20 months (company 7) -noc code ABC

lets assume that all this happened within 10 years and all are full-time jobs. my questions is:

1. can noc code ABC be counted with a total skillset experience of 28 months?
2. can noc code XYZ be counted with a total skillset experience of 26 months?

The reason i asked this is because in CIC eligibility online exam, it asks you if it is "full-time, CONTINOUS, within 10 years and for only one occupation". I just want to make sure if I answer it accurately and correctly.

2. I will apply for Expression of Interest this week. My wife wants to join as a dependent. We both have taken the IELTS exam and I have applied for my ECA. Does she also needs her ECA to be done? Nowhere did I read that dependent's ECA is needed but some people on this forum are saying that she needs to have her ECA done in order to increase my points. Is this true? Is there a place in the EoI form that demands ECA score of the dependent?
This is an important query for us.

I have a really basic question here. I will be filling up the EoI form in a day or two and I have read quite a bit about EE but nowhere did it say that wife's ECA is also needed! In fact, I read that the rules in EE for FSW will be the same rules as were there in FSW earlier.

Does the form has option to fill in wife/husband's ECA score?

Well, isn't it obvious? It should be option 3: work permit and LMIA required.

2. See if you want to claim points for your spouse Education then you have to submit Her ECA and if you failed to provide her ECA you will only loose points for her education but u can apply..

It has happened with me.. when i calculated my score manually i got 390 points applying with my wife but wen i submited my app i got 365 becoz i got zero for my wifes education as i failed to sibmit her ECA report no.

You are right.. but it will be clear after first draw, to how much does 2 points make any difference..

No body is an expert here.. just an opinion..

Just enter your details honestly and make sure you can get LOR for every job mentioned and leave rest to the system.. it will calculate points itself by whatever information u provide
