My aunt - a Canadian citizen and married to a Canadian citizen has an sister who is an American who is very ill.
My aunt has other sisters who are Canadian citizens - what options, if any, does she have to sponsor who sister from the U.S.?

thanks for any insights.

She has no options under family class.
The sister could try to immigrate on her own, but if she is very ill there's a strong chance she would get rejected under any class she tried based on possible excessive demand to healthcare.

Unfortunately she doesn't have any options to sponsor her sister since she is married and has other family members in Canada. Even if she was able to sponsor her sister (i.e. was unmarried and had no other family in Canada), her sister's illness would very likely prevent her from being approved to immigrate.

Perhaps it's possible to move the American aunt to a location closer to the US/Canada border so that her Canadian sister can visit her more often?
