Family Sponsorship - Open Work Permit - How long?

Hello guys,

I applied for permanent residence (family sponsorship) with Open Work Permit for my wife in October/2016. I would like to know how long it will take to arrive her work permit? Does it actually come before when she gets the PR or together with the final approval of the PR?

the OWP is usually sent around 4 months after submission of the application, and it's completely separate from her PR approval. some people are experiencing slightly longer times. her PR approval will come much later than the OWP.

4 months from the date they received it. As posted above, looks like it's taking slightly longer to come In these days according to September applicants expecting this month
