Open Work Permit with Family Sponsorship in Canada

Hello all,

For those of you who have applied for open work permit while your family sponsorship application is processing.. How long does it usually take to receive your open work permit?

I have submitted my applications on March 8 2016 and it's been 3 months... Got an email a few days ago they have received my family sponsorship application BUT I noticed that they typed in my address WRONG! It should be "Willis Crescent" but they typed in "Willie Crescent". I am planning on calling them tomorrow when the offices open. But I just want to get a concensus on how long it took for everyone to receive open work permit. Maybe mine went to the wrong address and I was never informed?!

Little side note, I was on Post-Graduate Work Permit before I submitted my Family Sponsorship/Open Work Permit in March. Got married 3 years ago while I was on Work Permit. I'm on implied status since May 16 2016.. :'(

OWP typically takes around four months. As long as the postal code is right - Canada Post shouldn't have any issues delivering your mail.

Ah, what a relief. Thanks! I was freaking out over here. I guess I will just wait it out for another month!
