That does seem excessive. I sent 30 or so I think, maybe less.

800 is WAY too many. With a 5 year relationship, your burden of proof is low, so you really don't need to send that much.

I think we had about 10 pages, with 4-12 pics per page, maybe about 90 in total.

You have to remember these are people looking at your app. Would you want to go through 800 photos? Many of those will be redundant. I suggest trimming it down to 150 max. You can always add a note stating you've taken thousands of pictures, and you can send more if needed.

The thing is that we have been to many places together and different events, parks, camping, family stuffs, etc. So we want to send some pics of almost all the things we've done and places we've been.

Being in a 5-year relationship is a strong proof already.

Rather than sending TOO MANY photos, I suggest you could send more relevant proofs like documents that you have that would prove your relationship like property documents under both of your name, joint bank account, insurance, letters from people address to both of you, and others.

Maybe at least 10 photos that you had on special occasions within the 5-year period would be enough.

Remember, they are not interested with your life story. They just want to prove that it is not a marriage fraud.

Quality over quantity; the VO doesn't want to see pics of you doing everything. Include a few pics of any big events (i.e. wedding, honeymoon, birth of child, big holiday) and then a small selection of general pics from each year.

Really? In the GCMS notes? Well that goes to show that they don't want a BUNCH of proofs, just credible ones.

18 pages with 2-3 photos on each page showing my wife and I together since 2009. Different hair, background, locations, appearance etc show enough. 800 photos is pretty excessive. send 4 photos from each year. or even 10 if you want.

That is way too much... I don't think Visa officers would interested to look at them and I don't think they will base their decision on the photos that you provided. There are other things/proofs that can attached to your application like, cards, gifts receipts, travels that both your name shows on the receipts, join bank acct.. letters from both of you, letters/testimony from your family/relatives about your relationship..etc.

i wish you good luck!

I think the most important pictures are your wedding/engagement with guests/family members, honeymoon pictures and pictures at special events (wedding/birthday/funeral) with your family members.

Pictures taken on vacation is great if you can provide the booking tickets too. Include a couple pictures for each vacation taken as proof and it shows your timeline as well.

The VO wants to see a continuous timeline so showing pictures is great proof but don't go overboard on it. Have pictures for each year. Include the date.

The decision on how many photos to send depends on: the visa office you are applying through; how many red flags your relationship has; the other proof you have; and what you feel comfortable with. Do not worry that the visa officer might think you have sent too much - no one has ever been denied for sending too many photos. They have been denied for not sending enough evidence.

However, I think 800 is too many.

For trips and special events, you only need one photo, really. For the wedding and honeymoon, send more: document all the parts of your wedding, try to get some proof of the number of guests, and several shots of your honeymoon. In addition, it is good to have photos showing you and your wife with family members and friends. Still, with one special event or trip a month, that would be 60. Marriage and honeymoon photos could be 25. Photos with family and friends could be 30.

The picture equals to 1000 words, how big will be your application with 800 pictures alone? Make it simple, one picture for one month, so if you dated for 5 years it will be 60 pictures+ 20 pictures of your own important events(proposal, weddind and honeymoon). Quality over quantity please, avoid repetitions of events and include more relatives on both sides. I can have a million pictures with my own sister, focus on that.
