The decision on how many photos to send depends on: the visa office you are applying through; how many red flags your relationship has; the other proof you have; and what you feel comfortable with. Do not worry that the visa officer might think you have sent too much - no one has ever been denied for sending too many photos. They have been denied for not sending enough evidence.
However, I think 800 is too many.
For trips and special events, you only need one photo, really. For the wedding and honeymoon, send more: document all the parts of your wedding, try to get some proof of the number of guests, and several shots of your honeymoon. In addition, it is good to have photos showing you and your wife with family members and friends. Still, with one special event or trip a month, that would be 60. Marriage and honeymoon photos could be 25. Photos with family and friends could be 30.
