OWP on current processing times of 11 weeks would make Mid March for OWP approval.

Unfortunately the first part of your timeline isn't relevant, if your app is returned and you re-submit, the processing time is the same as if it was the first time you were submitting.

Assuming you are inland (since you mentioned the OWP), inland AOR is presently taking about exactly 8 weeks.
 
I just added myself to the list as application was received today :) was unsure about PA Visa office.. don't we not know at this stage which office will be processing if applying outland??

yeah of course we do. where does your PA live now? then you can check on CIC website which VO processes applicants from that country.

PA is living in Canada with me, but is from Australia. It was my understanding that it was a random chance when applying Outland which VO would be processing the application (ie. Mississauga or Sydney)...I guess I'm wrong.

Our application was received Sept 1 2017, AOR1 Oct 17th, File transfer to Mexico VO Nov 14th. We haven't received anything since then- no "We started processing your application on.." in ECAS or anything. But today our GCKey says:

Application status We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.
Review of eligibility We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Review of medical results We are reviewing the results of your medical exam.
Review of additional documents The additional documents you provided have been uploaded.
Interview You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
Background check We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Final decision Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

What has changed is the part in bold- Background check: it used to say something like "Your application is in process. We will send you a message when we start processing your background check". So, I am unsure what this change means. Still no AOR2 though, or so I thought, so I am confused.

It means your BCIP has now started. Some applications, CPC-M does the background check instead of VO. You are one of those cases. If you're really curious, you can order your GCMS notes around January.

Hmm ok. That seems weird as we've already been transferred to Mexico VO.
