Dear Forum Users,
My application for permanent residence was refused in March 2012 by the ND visa office. The reason they said was my sponsor was not meeting the minimum income required to sponsor me. However, my sponsor was earning more than what was required. So we filed an appeal with the immigration appeals division in April 2012. We were scheduled for an ADR conference in June 2012 which was of no avail. Then we were scheduled for a hearing on 10 October 2012. The judge allowed the appeal.
The permanent residence application status on E-CAS shows Application Received on 04 Dec 2012. There has been no update since. I was wondering roughly how long will the actual process take from the time an appeal is allowed to the time we receive further information from the visa office?
I was reading on the internet on several law firm websites that appeal cases are processed on priority. I am just curious to know where I am at the moment so that I can plan something. Life seems to be all messed up
Many Thanks
Laeq
