Hello Everyone! i thought i would share my timeline for everyone here curious about it. I am a Canadian citizen and sponsored my wife who is a Brazilian Citizen
Jun 01, 2023- Application received
Jun 10, 2023- We received the Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008) you sent us
Jun 10, 2023- We received the information you sent us. We’ll review it and let you know if we need any other information from you.
Jun 10, 2023- We received the Additional Family Information form (IMM5406) you sent us.
Jun 10, 2023- We received the marriage certificate/licence you sent us.
Jun 10, 2023- We received the marriage certificate/licence you sent us.
Jun 10, 2023- We received the document proving your relationship with your sponsor.
Jun 10, 2023- We received the passport(s)/travel document(s) you sent us.
Jun 10, 2023 - We received the police certificate(s) you sent us.
Jun 10, 2023- We received the birth registration/certificate you sent us.
Jul 31, 2023- We received the information you sent us. We’ll review it and let you know if we need any other information from you.
Aug 09, 2023- Complete your biometrics
Sep 15, 2023- We sent you a message about your application
Nov 02, 2023- Activity status updated: Eligibility
Dec 28, 2023- Activity status updated: Medical exam
Jan 15, 2024- Activity status updated: Medical exam
Feb 26, 2024- Activity status updated: Eligibility
Mar 05, 2024- Activity status updated: Background verification
Mar 15, 2024- We sent you a message about your application
Mar 15, 2024- We received the passport(s)/travel document(s) you sent us
The whole process took less then a year, once we sent out our passport to the VFS it took them around 3-4 business to stamp everything and sent it back to us, but of course it will take longer if you have to mail it to them, ours took around 8 business from sending it to the mail and receiving it back.
