Hi All,
I'm new to this forum. I have a question related to my situation and my friend advised me to seek help here:
I applied for a family citizenship application for me, my wife and two minor kids, below is my time line:
Ottawa
Application Sent: 12-Oct-2017
Application Received: 14-Oct
AOR: 30-Oct
In process: 27-Nov
Test Invitation: 3-Jan
Test: 25-Jan
The interview for me & my wife went well and the officer informed us that everything is OK and there's no concern at all. The issue that I passed the exam 20/20 & my wife failed 14/20, although the officer conducted her interview. The officer told us that we will get our oath invitation, when she passes the exam and mentioned that the exam will be very soon for her without an interview.

My question, how long does it take to receive the re-exam? days, weeks months? how long is the period between re-test invitation and the test itself? 2 to 3 weeks like the original test invitation?
Looking for someone's experience.

This is what cic website says "This second test will usually take place 4-8 weeks after your first test, but the delay may be longer."

My cousin wife also failed
Do you think these three site will be enough to practice
Well they are good but sometime questions are tricky so applicants have to use common sense.

Read the Discover Canada book. That is what will help you pass the test. The questions on the exam are from that book. Online tests are going to test your knowledge, but won't give you small details, for example about Laura Secord. Don't recognize the name? Read Discover Canada ;)

Laura Secord - 19 miles walk? Apologies if I was wrong.

I was able to remember her as Canada's Paul Revere :)

Reading history of both countries, one will beg to question Canada tries to one up the other country.
What US have, Canada too will make after a few years.
US confederation of 1776
Canada’s confederation of 1891
and so on...

Canada abolished slavery before the US did, so I think they were the leaders there...

I always find it intriguing (and confusing) that people complain about the country they are spending so much time and effort to become a citizen of. So weird.

Am I missing something here?

Did I complain Canada one ups US in every aspect of history?

Did you read it or you just confabulated the idea your mind is telling you?

All, my wife got the retest invite and attended the test after almost 8 weeks & fortunately passed the exam. My recommendation for all of you to stick with dicover canada book and don't depend on practice online tests, as most of the questions are out of them.
