Facing issues in validating Background Declaration form - New Package

Hi,

The form is throwing error on validating the form when I set present activity as ongoing and it highlights the TO DATE BOX and is not letting me write anything in it. What is this? Anybody facing the same issue? Any resolution?

Please help.

I am using adobe reader 11.0.10 version to fill the forms.

I would pick today's date and include a note stating that the validation rule was failing and it's ongoing.

I can't be arsed to fill that out and see what the issue could be. I'd suggest just unchecking "ongoing", put in current date and use a pen to check "ongoing" when you print it.

Also, you might want to try upgrading to Adobe Acrobat Reader DC as that is the latest version.

I was using Adobe Reader DC and downgraded to 11 version to see if it works, but no.

Writing with pen is the suggestion I have got a lot, so I am going with it now.

I have the same problem with "ongoing' box.

But, as indicated in request, we can't print it our (we just need to download validated file):

"You can only upload the “Schedule A Online” form into your online
account if you validated the document before you saved it. Do not print out this form and upload
the printed copy through your online account. This will result in an invalid submission of your
Schedule A, which will cause additional delays to your application. The complete and validated
Schedule A form, in PDF format, should be saved to your computer and uploaded directly into
your online account."

So, any other suggestions?

I had the same problem and I used adobe acrobat pro on my work computer.

I was able to validate it by putting in the date 01/2017. When I printed it out, I put an X in with a pen.

We did a hard copy because we submitted police checks up front due to not knowing the kit had changed. Figured we would put in the schedule A as well.

How did you get around this? did you just put the current date and submit without the ongoing flag?

We had the same issue until CIC updated the form.

Check the date on the lower left hand corner of your form.
The old form says IMM 5669(11-2016), this is the form that won't validate correctly.

The latest form shows IMM 5669(01-2017)E
