Hi all, I just finished filling out my LMIA application which I will send out through my employer.
Below are the steps that I followed for anyone who might need it.
Hi all. I just sent out my LMIA application through my work.
Below are the steps I followed. (QUEBEC)
things to do for immigration: send to both the federal (Canada) and provincial (Quebec) entities all the necessary documents.
Step 1 : Call the employer contact centre to make sure you can submit the Facilitated Process for the LMIA Application
Your job code: **** is in the list of jobs eligible for the facilitated process
http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/fr/employeurs/embaucher-temporaire/recrutement-haut-salaire/liste-professions/index.html
If you are eligible for the facilitated process you don’t need to provide proof of recruitment or transition plan!!!!
Step 2: Submit the LMIA to the Federal entity
LMIA processing fee is of $1,000
- no transition plan needed
- you can apply for facilitated LMIA process
https://www.canada.ca/en/employment-social-development/services/foreign-workers/quebec/simplified-process.html
The LMIA can be submitted online
https://www.canada.ca/en/employment-social-development/corporate/notices/labour-market-impact-assessment-apply-online.html
