Extension of stay

Hello,
we have recently applied for the extension of our mother's visitor stay in Canada. According to the cic site the processing time for Visitor Extension is 90 days. Do they send any AOR after CIC receives the application? What to do if somebody inquires about our mother's status after her visitor status will be expired?

Have a copy of the receipt of payment and the mail stub (post office receipt or registered mail receipt). No AOR. CPC-V will send the VR if approved or a letter of refusal of disapproved.

Suin, did you apply online?

When I extended my wife's status, I simply printed out the page that showed the application had been submitted. It shows the date of submission. That together with the stamp on her passport should be sufficient to prove implied status.

If you did apply online, log back in MyCIC, and print out the page that shows when your application was submitted.

thank you for your reply, job_seeker. I guess that's the only thing we can do. we have receipts from paying online for application, mailing and tracking details that it was delivered.

how many months do we need to apply before the visa expired? im confused because the guide says 30days but it will be approve 90 days so meaning they can stay with their visa expired as long as their extension is in process???/ thanks!!!
