extension of stay/Principal applicant exit Canada, what happens 2 dependant?

Hi, I just have a question regarding our situation. we applied for an extension of stay here in Canada. For my husband, for me and for my 7 year old child. we are expecting that the decision will be out by May 22nd 2015 (based on 63 days processing time on cic.gc. Now my husband which is the principal applicant have an emergency to our home country and needs to go home. so me and my child left here and still waiting for the result of our application. Now my question is, do i have to notify immigration of canada about my husband going back to our country and what happens to our application as his dependants? does it affect our application? TIA

no you dont need to inform the CIC you already passed your applications, anyway your husband is for sure coming back to canada right? nothing to worry about my friend
