Hey all,

My hubby's visitor extension is approved, I am applying to sponsor him next week and I want to know, with the visitor extension, can he travel to the USA? we are applying outland and he is currently here. With his new visitor extension (he has another couple months) are we safe to travel back and forth or is there a chance he can be denied entry to canada at the border? If there is risk of him not being allowed in, we don't want to travel.

Any advice?

Thank ya

Is he American? There is always a chance that immigration can deny entry into Canada. The last time my husband entered (from Australia), I made sure I was with him to answer any questions they may have. If you will have already applied, and can produce the receipt, this may prompt them to give him a new visitor record. If he leaves the country, the current visa extension becomes void. If he can prove that he won't be working while waiting for PR, and can support himself then chances are better. Our last visa extension we asked for 12 months, and were given 13. I've heard of people getting a 12 month visitor record when entering the country too if they have applied for PR. I hope this helps.
