Extending work permit

Hey guys,

I did 1 year course and got 1 year work permit , I am working now, and My work permit is going to expire on 11 nov 2018 ,
after that I have to go back to India for some personal reason, and will be applying for Express Entry from there as CEC,
So just have a question instead of applying for PR , can I Extend my work permit for one more year , and does it mean My employer Have to do LMIA for that, or I can extend my work permit without him ?

Your employer needs to obtain an approved LMIA in order for you to be able to extend your work permit.

No - you cannot extend your work permit without him.
