Hi, I am Canadian permenant resident,I am planning to go to India for almost year,and planning to get married their and apply for sponsorship for my wife. Is this possible? Can i sponsor my spouse when we both are in india ? Or do i need to be present in canada to do that ?

hmmm.. thats true since my work permit is expiring and my employer will not help me to extent it. i have only to opt., either apply from here and wait in canada or go to india and apply form there and wait until whatever decision is made.

but what if I applied and waiting for ,their decision on my file. and have to leave canada coz expiring of my work permit.

Thanks jaffaral for quick reply, ohh. so that was what i was worried about, so after finishing my 1yr work in canada , I can go back to india and still apply from there , and even i am not working in canada, since I am CEC ,I don't need to show POF right ? My CRS is 509.
