Extended family authorization application

Hello,

Does anyone who applied for authorization for uniting immediate family member got response from IRCC ?. My wife is working in canada and we met last on Dec 2019 after that due to Covid we couldn't travel, i am currently in Germany. I am planning to meet her on December. I sent the request to IRCC last week. Any idea how long will it takes to respond.!

Thanks for the response, i have used this link and sent a request last week by email, as i am planning to travel on Dec first week and needs to book the tickets and plan the leaves to company so i would like to know approx by when they will respond.only based on that i can plan the rest.

Ok, then it falls among temporary residents category. I think they have separate set of rules.

Hi all, I'm a Brit waiting for my AOR for my SS with OWP application (on 8 months of waiting now...). I'm hoping my parents from the UK can visit as an extended family member according to IRCC who is "related to the spouse or common-law partner of a Canadian citizen, person registered under Canada’s Indian Act or permanent resident". I've downloaded the necessary IMM0006 form for this however straight away it asks whether I'm a Canadian citizen, PR holder or under Canada's Indian Act. I'm technically still just a tourist so what must I fill on this form? Anyone else doing this / done this? Thanks

You would need the updated IMM 0006 form to visit them. Make sure you get the updated one where there is a place for signatures.

Hello , what to do after getting sign this form from notary? I have attached this form with my online visa application. Do I need to send an email to IRCC for Authorization to travel ?

Its sent by the family member outside as a scanned copy while writing the other info in the email and attaching relevant documents requested.

We’re trying to submit via the webform as he already have Proof of relationship with an extended family member in Canada

hi. We didn’t attach any photos on the webform. But we did include a copy of my pr card. Submitted the webform on November 3rd haven’t heard back yet. My boyfriend has a valid ETA.
