My police certificate from my home country was issued 5 days before I left my home country after a 3-week visit. This was all in less than a month ago. Now I have got an ITA. Should I get a new police certificate?

Based on CIC website:
  • For countries in which the applicant no longer resides, the police certificate must have been issued after the last time the applicant lived in that country.
Is my short visit of 3 weeks equivalent to "lived in that country" in the above sentence?
In my opinion, Yes, the PCC should have covered the 5 days. Best way forward is to upload the document you have for now (don't submit your eAPR or submit your PCC with LoE).
Meanwhile reach out to your country's consulate/ embassy in your present country of residence to issue you another PCC. If you successfully get another PCC before you need to submit your eAPR, upload the latest one. If you receive your new PCC after you had to submit your PCC, then wait for ADR.

Hello,
I have already accepted my ITA, but now I want to change my job. So what is the procedure for that?

- In what circumstances I can change the job?
- Do I have to inform the CIC about this?
- If yes, how can I do that via web form Or through my Gmail?
- Do I need to attach any documents for the same? If yes, what are those
- What reason I have to give them for changing my job?
- My background check is not started yet so will they do inquiry on my current job?
Change your job. No need to inform CIC.
After accepting your ITA before submitting your eAPR, you can make changes in your Work History / Personal History section.

Hi all,

I was going through the documents to be submitted for the past and current employments. I noticed that only the experience letters won't suffice and that the roles and responsibilities should also be mentioned on the document.

I have total experience of 3 years with 4 organizations.

My first company HR denied giving me the roles and responsibilities certificate stating that the project is no longer with the company, hence the certificate can't be issued. I am neither in touch with my former colleagues / managers. In this case if I get a written mail from the HR stating the certificate can't be issued, can I use this mail to attach as a proof during my ITA documents submission?

Also, my immigration consultant told me that the experience which I am showing should be after the semester 6 (after graduation) exam results. However, as per my understanding the experience has to be within the past 10 years. Can someone pls shed some light on this as well?

Many thanks in advance....
Firstly, what you need is an experience or a reference letter not a certificate. Companies may be willing to offer you a letter on their letter head never a certificate.
Secondly, You would have your joining letter, appraisal letters, resignation / releasing letter, salary slips etc. Does any of those mention your job duties and responsibilities?
Thirdly, not sure what your immigration consultant is cooking up (Most of us here in this forum applied by ourselves). Never heard of 6 months wait after graduation rule or past 10 year experience rule. Please take some time out and READ the Express Entry/CRS Points/ITA/eAPR process.

Hello everyone,
I am seeking help from you all. I planned to apply with my wife as primary applicant (total 463 points). If I apply as primary I make 451 points, which is ok too, but does not give us enough buffer in case the cut off rises. We have all the documentation ready except the work experience letter(s)
My wife had worked in 3 different positions in an organization in India for a total duration of 4.5 years. Her roles and responsibilities (for all 3 positions and entire 4.5 years) align 90% with the main duties mentioned under NOC code 6221 (which is skill level type B), and hence gives us the required minimum of 3 years of experience under any NOC code.
Her job titles though align with NOC code 6221 (which is skill level type B) for 2 years of experience & NOC code 0601 (which is skill level type 0) for 2.5 years of experience (note that the title was misleading as she was never in management but her title of Sales Manager makes one believe that she was performing management function. None of the responsibilities under 0601 were performed by my wife)
As you can see if they judge on the basis of job title only, my wife does not have minimum 3 years of work experience under any one NOC code or any skill level type.

Q.1 Does CIC decide NOC codes based on job title or main duties? Or both? CIC matches NOC code based on job duties (not title)
Q.2 given our situation, one option would be to write a letter of explanation regarding this, but would that be worth taking a chance? Yes, cover this in your LoE that even though her title was 0601, her job duties were of 6221. She would also have to declare her primary NOC which I believe will be 6221?
Q.3 Should I simply apply as myself as primary applicant and avoid all this at the expense of a lower CRS score of 451 (last cut off was 441) That's your call based on the your risk taking appetite.
Any other thoughts/inputs would be highly appreciated. Your case is a straight forward. Mainly you need to decide if you want to be the primary applicant and apply at 451 or apply at 463 with your wife being a PA. CIC people are competent enough to know that many job titles are inflated, that's why they ask it to match with job duties. Good luck!

Thank you.

Hello Everyone,
I am gathering my Post ITA documents and require help regarding POF documentation.

I think CIC accept PF account balance as well. My question is what document of PF account should we provide so that it gets accepted POF??

I believe you'll be asked for PCC from UAE. You'll receive ADR (Additional Document Required) request post your eAPR submission should CIC feels the need for it. To be safe, upload your other documents, and, at the same time, trigger your UAE PCC.
One of my friend needed a Baharain PCC but had to wait for ADR from CIC post eAPR since Baharain needs a letter from CIC to start their PCC process.
Hope it helps
That's very helpful, thank you. I should hopefully receive the UAE PCC before I receive ITA. So on reflection, I am planning to upload the certificate with the initial application, perhaps with an LOE explaining that I have included it just in case it should be needed at a later stage.

Hi everyone,

This is my first post here, though I am following the group for quite many months now.

My query is: Does WES/any other agency evaluates Nursery Teachers Training diploma (this is one year diploma from All India Pre-Primary Teachers Vocational Training, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India)? Has anyone got it done so far?

I wrote to WES twice but they responded with a standard answer.

My IELTS score is 8 overall and a B.Com (3 years degree evaluated by WES). I just completed NTT and if this is accepted, my score will jump from 409 to a decent one.

Appreciate suggestions/responses.

Thanks!

Hi, I am going to apply for an ITA, and am in a dilemma regarding Proof of Experience.
I have 1 year 10 months experience in my current org. and 1 year 3 months experience in my previous organization.
However, my previous organization has refused to provide me a proof of experience as required by CIC (they are willing to provide just an experience letter stating duration and position).
Should I input 3 years as my experience (gives me 473 points) or enter 1 or 2 year only (448 points)

Does CIC consider and provide points for 1 year experience, if I enter 3 years and fail to show for full 3 years, but show for 1 year as per their requirement?

Hello friends...

Someone has suggested me to take reference letter from colleague i.e. someone working at same designation as mine in my department bcz my superiors has refused to give such letter.

Can anybody confirm that such letter is acceptable if taken from my colleague?

Will such letter supported by appointment letter, deptt. ID card etc. be sufficient?

Please advise. I'll be really thankful.

Hello group members.. I have one question regarding reference letter... Since I'm not able to get reference letter I ask as follows:-

I have :-
1. Appointment letter
2. Department's photo ID card detailing my joining date, designation etc.
3. Salary slips
4. Form 16
5. Manual published by deptt. detailing duties and responsibilities of my designation.
6. Other training certificates issued by deptt. from time to time.

Now if I provide all these things, do I still need reference letter, bcz nobody in my deptt. is agreeing to provide reference letter.
Pls advise. Thanks.
