Parry_k said:I had faced this situation with IELTS (took through IDP). I had an overall of 8.5 with 9 in reading, 9 in Listening, 8.5 in Speaking and 6.5 in Writing. I believed I had not done so bad n Writing so I applied for revaluation, but to be on the safe side, I applied for another test as well. After a couple of weeks, my score in Writing got increased to 7.5 and they refunded the revaluation fee. But I had already spent another 10k on booking the test again, which they said they couldn't refund. To salvage something out of this, I asked them to change my General test to Academic in case I can use it in the future.
If you are sure you didn't do so bad, go for revaluation.
Thanks Parry, incase I take a second test, would the latest ielts score be considered or I can use best out of the two for my application?
