Perfectly valid!

Just one thing - Who is the primary applicant? Does the dependent in the applicant have Canadian Work experience?
Hi Raj,

Well it will depend on who fares well in IELTS. Also, I am aware that the dependent does not need to give work-experience details unless that is a Canadian experience.

Thanks for your counter question nonetheless. I am assuming your concern was the same.

Cheers !

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi All,

We have agreed that a reference letter in a specific format is needed. One of the point in that is Type of Employment (Full Time/Permanent/Part Time)

Could you suggest how does it make the difference in your application (or chances to be accepted) in either of the cases?

I am raising this point since in UAE, none of the employment is termed Permanent. It is always a 'Contract' either for 2 years or 3 years which can be renewed once the contract expiry is nearing.

Please guide in this case what should we seek from the employer when it comes to reference letter or proof of employment so that application is not rejected?

Thanks a lot.

With reference letters for your past work experience, it doesn't matter if the position was permanent or contractual, only whether it was full- or part-time, as this allows CIC to calculate your hours.

If your reference letters say that the work was contractual, it will have no effect on your application.

Actually for an ex-employer back in India, I have given the sample of reference letter in which Type of Employment options given by me are Full-Time/Permanent/Part-Time. I think this is bit mis-leading since part-time position can also be permanent?

Having said that, I cannot change it now since the format has already reached HR. Can you suggest if I should ask them to tick-mark Full-Time or Permanent?

Also, for the UAE experience, what should the options say? Full-Time/Part-Time
or
something more?

This has now confused me a bit as i did not pay attention to options in sample format earlier.

Please revert. Thanks.

Whether the letter says part-time or full-time makes no difference, because that doesn't mean anything to CIC; what qualifies as full-time is different in every country.
What matters is the number of hours per week that you worked; this must be mentioned in your letter.

And as you've said, "full-time" and "permanent" are not the same thing. So having "Full-Time/Permanent/Part-Time" as your options doesn't make sense. Your options are "Full-Time or Part-Time" and "Permanent or Casual".

Whether the letter says contractual or permanent also makes no difference.
CIC only cares that you have the number of paid work experience hours that you claim you do, and that at least 1,560 of them were continuous.

Guys, you helped to clarify a lot of issues before. Your pieces of advice are much appreciated. I'd be really grateful if someone can clarify the following points as well...
Let's say I delete my EE profile in order to recreate another one. Do I have to indicate in my new account that I have been registered in the system before?
After resubmitting my profile, do I have to delete my Job Bank account as well and register there a new account? Or will my old account still be valid?
If it is still valid, how do I tie my new EE profile with my old JB account?

As far as I know it will ask you whether you have submitted an Express Entry profile before, to which can answer 'Yes'.

You can revalidate your existing Job Bank account using your new Express Entry Profile Number and Job Seeker Validation Code.
