Under education section do we need to list every single item from Secondary or only the one for which we have ECA ?
I was educated under the Indian system so have my education as follows:
Secondary, Higher Secondary, Graduation(ECA done)

Do I need to add Secondary and Higher Secondary as well ?

Only the one you have got ECA for. In your case enter your graduation.

Hello folks a friend of my is at a cross road, his IELTS score are as follows listening 8, reading 7, writing 7, speaking 6.5. Though he made an overall band 7. What are is chances of getting picking from the pool, he cant afford to resit the exams any more.

Any one with similar issues?..... pls share your views. as well as those valid advice.

- if someone gets state nomination i.e. Ontario, then for how long does he/she has to stay before being free to go to other states
- after getting PR for Ontario state, can we stay in India and not goto Ontario ? Would PR be still valid ? Or do we have to spend some minimum time in ON
- how long does it take for one to get citizenship ? What requirements have to be fulfilled
- can citizens of Canada free to work and stay in US ?
- Can they get US citizenship ?
- After how much waiting period, one can call their parents to Canada ? What are conditions to be fulfilled.

Unfortunately no one knows. We have seen people moving from AOR to PPR in 6 days and some cases going beyond 6 months guideline without showing much progress. CIC provides no information on whether they process applications based on FIFO or monthly batches or draw-wise or any other criterion. For better predictions we need to improve on the amount of data we collect through spreadsheets and the data points that we collect. See this post for more on this problem :

I have personally kept a time period of 5 months after AOR, if the application does not progress by this period then there is a reason to panic a little bit. Anything before that should really be considered bonus.

if you can also add one more column of "Country of Origin"...
Country of current residence is already there in your spreadsheet.

Just that it can give an overall idea of country-wise applicants distribution.. based on country of origin..

Actually, it does matter. If you choose Nova Scotia alone, then, for instance, Ontario will not be able to send you a Interest Letter (PT). So, it is wise to choose "All provinces".

There is no legal binding as such but there is a moral obligation. The province is trying to fill its market need and that is why it issued you a nomination - Not for you to use it only to get ITA and ditch the province. When you apply for citizenship, you might be asked as to why you moved and you need to have some really good and solid reasons as to why you were not able to establish yourself in that province.

Well, IMO, you must learn more about the process and how it works.
The only reason you are applying for a provincial nomination is to get an ITA (PN adds 600 points to your CRS). After this, you cannot just pack your bags and go to Canada. You need to submit a post-ITA application (e-APR) with all the required documents (including medicals and PCC) and if your application is approved, they'll give you a visa and a COPR. Only then you can land in Canada.

To apply for citizenship, you must have been a resident of Canada for 4 years out of a 6 year period. You must have paid your taxes and you must have good moral character. You must not have had problems with the law.

I am not very sure about this but I imagine this is possible under the NAFTA agreement.

- Can they get US citizenship ?

To get US citizenship, you must first become a Permanent Resident of the US and reside there for 5 years (as a PR). If you get married to a US citizen, this wait is reduced to 3 years. After that, you may apply for citizenship. PR is not that easy in the US. For some countries like India (under the EB-3 category), it takes around 18 years to get granted a green card.

Please note that once you become a PR of the US, you may lose your PR status in Canada. AFAIK, you cannot be a PR in 2 countries at once.

There is something called the "Supervisa". You can invite your parents and grandparents and they can stay for a period of 2 years. There is no waiting period AFAIK but you need to demonstrate sufficient income to support them.
