Hi, I am new to this forum. I need a suggestion. My CRS score is 422. The provinces whose PNPs are currently still open like Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Manitoba etc doesn't have enough scope for jobs in my field of work. So is there any chance to get ITA with this score in the next 4-5 months or is it advisable to apply for PNP for the provinces which I mentioned above. Thanks in advance.
It is very unlikely that the score will drop below 450 this year. All PNP s have exhausted their quota. You can try to apply for PNP s in Jan.

Hey guys I am a PhD student in Quebec with 442 CRS. Any chance I should hear from cic this year? Also in my EE in mentioned 'all provinces' that I would like to immigrate? Is it a good strategy or shall I select one specific province? Finally, in my job application I have listed all the major cities in all provinces that I would like to work, is that a good idea?

Thank you for anyone who replies. I would appreciate any response.

yes, they will ask for your history for the past 10yrs and this will be a 3 month gap. even if you will not be claiming points for the 3 months experience it's still better to be declared.

I respectfully disagree. It is more than sufficient if you declare work experience that you are going to claim points for (In the employment section). If you declare both, you MUST provide all documents like reference letters, pay slips, increment letters, letters of appreciation for BOTH the jobs you've held. So, I my suggestion is to just declare the jobs that'll get you points and in the personal history section, you can give dates and say "employed" for all the periods of employment.

im speaking from my experience. in my case, i declared all 3 jobs that i had. i tried excluding my first job because it was not related to my noc and it only lasted for a year. however in the personal history portion i cant submit because it has a year gap in it. so I had to declare it.

in my personal checklist (after ita) it did not ask for any documentation at all on my first job. so i didnt submit anything at all.

Your professional and academic background does NOT necessarily need to match.

Having said that...

To apply for EE, you must have taken IELTS test in the past 2 years with 6 in each band (Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking). Plus, if your academic credentials were obtained outside Canada, you must get an ECA (Education Credential Evaluation) from a designated organization like WES and it must be equivalent to a completed post-secondary Canadian degree/diploma.

Please use the links below to check your eligibility yourself.

Here are the 6 selection factors to check FSW eligibility - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-factors.asp

For this, you can manually calculate the score by adding up the points corresponding to your credentials/situation. If you get at least 67/100, you are through. Otherwise, you are not eligible.

If you are eligible, then follow this link to check EE eligibility - http://www.cic.gc.ca/ctc-vac/ee-start.asp

Click on "Check your Eligibility" button and see if you eligible.

Please note that if you are not eligible under FSW, you will automatically be ineligible under EE. Eligibility under FSW program is a prerequisite to be eligible for EE.

If you are eligible, this post by YamPower will be useful. It lists down the step-by-step instructions :

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/express-entry-step-by-step-instructions-t273928.0.html;msg4108507#msg4108507

Hope I've answered your query!

Wish you all the very best! Good luck!!

Dear All,

I am going to give my IELTS General on 07th November 2015, and after that hopefully will apply by the end of November 2015. Currently I am gathering all the required documents regarding which I need to know that If I get my experience letter/reference letter from my previous employer by the end of this Month (Sep-2015) and than apply for EE in Nov-2015, will there be any validity issue on the experience letter like, it should not be 6 months or 1 year old at the time of submission of my file or I can get it now and submit it at any later date whenever I will receive the ITA.

I am a bit confused as if there is a validity issue I will not get it now and will get the same when I will receive the ITA, as the employer clearly stated that they will issue the letter in the desired format only once and will not issue the same again if required.

Reference letters are a part of post-ITA documentation. Generally, the reference letters are valid for 1 year from the date of issue (if you are still working with that employer) and valid indefinitely (if you are no longer working for that employer). So, I would suggest you to get your reference letters a week before you get your ITA (you might be able to predict if you'll get ITA in the next draw based on your scores ; [above 450 CRS needed, of course]) or after getting your ITA.

!!!!!!IMPORTANT NOTIFICATION!!!!!!

I had raised a CSE last month to Delhi Visa Office (India) asking them if EPF can be used as proof of funds. To my surprise, this morning, received a mail from them telling that , YES, EPF can be used as Proof of Funds.

I have added the screenshot in my google drive. You can view it by clicking on the link below.

Somebody might find this information useful. So, I'm posting it here.

Please note that I got this information from the Canadian High Commission in India. This response might hold good only for Indian applicants.
This would be really helpful!

Digging a bit deeper, do you think this will include PPF as well?

I'd like to know which one I'm supposed to consider while calculating my points as I've taken IELTS (English is second language in my case) ->

I think I'm supposed to choose "Official languages proficiency - first official language". Correct?

Thanks in advance.
That's correct! Here the option is between English and French. Which one do you opt as your first official language out of the two (in case you are submitting respective scores for both). In case of only IELTS, English is the first official language. Hope this helps.
