Hello,
My query is will CIC accept wrk experience which is before my qualification(ITI) or not?
Graduation-2011(B.A.)
Work experience as mechanic- 2011 to 2013
ITI in Mechanic trade-2013 to 2015...
Do i need to get experience again? Or experience will work fine for EE system.
D.o.b- 25/08/1982
Thanks,

In my opinion, I don't think if CIC will accept work experience you gathered before you were qualified for that position.

Other members, could you please confirm this?

Only degree / diploma certificates and ECA are supposed to be uploaded or mark-sheets as well?

I understand that CIC may request additional documents. Will be there an option to submit those documents online through MyCIC account or they are supposed to be sent by an email? How much time will be given to submit the additional documents?

Application fee $550 and Right of Permanent Residence Fee $490 should be paid together with e-APR or $490 is supposed to be paid later on?

What's the CRS points for relatives in Canada?

Thanks in advance.

1) Certificates will suffice.

2) I think you'll find an option to upload additional documents when prompted. The time would be mentioned in CIC's correspondence.

3) You can either pay both at once or you can choose to pay RPRF later. It is advisable to pay both together.

4) Not sure. Some other member would be able to answer this question.

Hi members,

I am working for an IT MNC in NCR. I want to know what all information is required in the roles and responsibilities letter. Also what if the company doesn't agree to the issue of letter ? The company will never give its employee a letter if it comes to know that he is applying for a PR..

Replies appreciated.

Lot of information in this thread.

I appeared for IELTS General Training, here are my scores,
L - 8.0
R - 8.5
W - 7.5
S - 7.5

I completed my EE Profile in a little hurry which I realized later when it said "ineligible". I have not done ECA yet. WES seems to be the best option right now. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Here are education credentials and my work experience,

10th passed in 2004
Diploma from Government Polytechnic (Autonomous) College - 2006 to 2009

Work Experience from my father's company (manufacturing unit of automobile components).
2004 to 2006 - Machinist
2010 to Present - Factory Floor Manager

Which education should I get assessed? Upon reading a few topics I came to know that only Diploma is to be assessed and 10th SSC is not necessary. Since, I'm working in my father's company does my work experience count?

Hi guys, I would really appreciate if someone could clarify on an issue I am facing.

I want to make my Express Entry profile, but am a bit unclear on what to put in my legal marital status.

I am in the middle of a mutual divorce, which should be finalised by October end. However, as of now, what should I put in my application? Should I show as married or divorced or is there some other category which represents me better?

If I show as married, would my points be affected?

For example, even in the Eligibility test, it asks 'How many family members do you have?', and asks us to include spouse even if they are not accompanying us to Canada.

My divorce cannot be affected now, and if it was left to me, I would prefer to already put Divorced, but I don't know if they might see it as misrepresentation. I would really appreciate if someone could throw some light on this issue.

Hi guys,

I have a Master's degree assessment from WES (IIM MBA + B.Tech). I have a question regarding law credential assessment. I am planning to apply with my wife who is a lawyer. She did her law from University of Mumbai (BLS LLB), 5 year degree. I am not sure which service to use to get her education credentials assessed. WES free tool says her degree would be evaluated as a Bachelor's degree though I thought this would be a professional degree. Should I go for WES or any other service? All search on this forum and on google is throwing up results for immigration lawyers.. ;D ;D. Any help on which is the best way to get her credentials assessed will be most appreciated. :)

You will have to mention your marital status at this point in time. You can choose 'Separated' for now and update it to 'Divorced' when you are done with the proceedings.

If yore are planning to be the PA, your spouse's ECA will get you a maximum of 10 points (for Master's degree or entry-to-profession degree) or 8 points (for Bachelor's degree). Your call if it is worth spending money on ECA to get those 8 or 10 points. Your call again if it makes sense to challenge WES for a 2 point difference.

If your spouse is the PA, this ECA difference (between Bachelors and entry-to-profession degree) will make all the difference to your chances.

All the best!

Get your diploma assessed.

Any legitimate work experience counts provided it was acquired under NOC 0/A/B (for FSW). Working in your father's company is legitimate but I recommend getting a reference letter signed by any other superior officer other than your father (to negate any conflict of interest).

Is there any province that provides nomination to international skilled workers (with more than 400 points in cic ee pool) without any Canadian experience or education?

Ontario, New Brunswick, Prince Edwards Islands, Nova Scotia...

All these need a valid job offer, no?
Can one get nominated without a Canadian job offer, education or experience but with more than 400 crs points?

No. These provinces do not require Canadian job offer/experience/education to apply to.

Ontario alone requires people who have CRS > = 400. Other provinces don't mind about the CRS, I guess.
